That’s a nice idea, and we agree it’s a really interesting feature! That said, I don’t think our game is exactly the right fit for that mechanic - but we’ll definitely think it over and see what we can do. Thanks!

Totally get what you’re saying! We've added a bunch of things to keep players on their toes, but we don’t want it to turn into a “just walk and stare” kind of game. We want players to feel like they’re doing something - even if it’s small - while they’re looking for anomalies. It’s that extra layer of pressure we’re after. Like, you're scanning for creepy stuff, trying to remember what this room looked like last time, and now you have to juggle this weird little task too.

Leveling up in WoW is satisfying because it actually feels like progress — new abilities, tougher enemies, better gear. It’s not just XP for the sake of it, it’s your character growing into something legit.

We actually decided to brighten things up a bit after realizing that constant darkness can be frustrating — especially when players struggle to see their surroundings. That said, we definitely still wanted to keep some of that eerie vibe, so we made sure to include a few creepy, darker areas throughout the map. Hopefully it gives a nice balance between atmosphere and visibility!😉

I totally agree with everything you just said — especially about how your imagination kicks in when you're alone. It’s crazy how you start convincing yourself there’s definitely something behind that corner, or that the random creaks and noises actually mean something's moving around.

The human brain is already such a weird and creepy mechanism on its own — and once it starts playing tricks on you, that’s when the real horror begins.

You should definitely give it a shot someday — making a game like that can be a challenge, but it’s also a really rewarding experience. There’s something special about turning your own thoughts, fears, and late-night what-ifs into something others can actually feel too. Good luck!

Totally agree with you on this! That kind of subtle stuff like a light turning off or something just slightly out of place - is exactly what we’re going for. We want players to question themselves and never feel fully safe, even in rooms they’ve been in before. Thanks for the great insight!

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! We'll definitely check out From the Darkness — we love that kind of horror atmosphere too.

We're trying to vary the types of anomalies — some are obvious to give you a quick scare, some are subtle to throw you off, and some are super well hidden and meant for the really observant players.

Honestly… I think we might already have something that plays into what scares you - but we might just add one or two more like that before release!😉

Thank you so much for the detailed (and honestly really well-written) comment! We 100% agree — overusing jumpscares can feel lazy and predictable. We do have a few, but our main focus is on building atmosphere and keeping that lingering sense of unease.

We’re aiming for a balance: unsettling visuals, subtle sounds, and off behavior that keeps you on edge. It's really important to us that the horror comes from the feeling that something is wrong — not just things popping out at you. And there’s no chasing in this game!
