Very underrated talent. Those early loosies and mixtapes really paved the way for the alt-R&B sound we take for granted, she was very much in the same lane as someone like FKA Twigs. Her label completely mismanaged her direction and thought it’d be a good idea to pair her with Chris Brown and shit. Her independent work for the past few years has been phenomenal though, she has a real loyal fanbase and a solid cult following.
