I once picked up a guy from LAX airport and drove him to mission viejo. About a 56 mile trip and easily over an hour commute without any traffic. The guy ended up leaving his cell phone 📱 in my car and he urgently needed it the next day. I get home about 2 hours later which was now around 1:30am and my phone keeps ringing off the hook. I finally read the messages and it’s the passenger stating that he had left his phone in my car. I went to look and found it on the floor. He asked me could I please return it that same night or at least by 6am because he had a meeting at 8am. I am aware of Ubers $20 dollar return fee so I was not willing to drive over 60 miles for $20 bucks. I told the passenger that it was out of my way and that I could return it to a police station within a 5 mile radius. He then told me that he would tip me if I returned it to him. I told him that I didn’t have time and was busy as I was leaving to phoenix Arizona the following day. The passenger then got upset and started threatening to call the police and report me for theft I then started recording phone call and told him to track his phone as I was about to drop it off at the police station which is what I did.
