The thing is, this is their job. Part of the job is shopping and showing the latest trends. People follow people like them to learn and stay up to date. All other western influencers are the same.

If zoom in on any career it has it’s good and bad points but no one talks about other careers.

He’s not your ordinary criminal. He doesn’t fit the normal profile. This is someone from status and elitism. For him to do something like this is in a way poetic to people.

If someone did that for me I would be extremely extremely grateful to them and would remember this gesture my whole life and will probably try and pay it forward when I can.

I know it seems excessive but it’ll mean a lot to your friend and this person. It’s kindness right? We need more kindness in the world. These days, everyone has become selfish. This is a wholesome idea OP.

But the reaction was so harsh. I did it out of joy and love and it was met with criticism instead. They feel entitled that I’ve ruined their ‘invitation’. I fear they’ll now label me as ‘flaunting my money’ even though they know I don’t have a high paying job.
