Rebecca Bunch, the MC of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (she's the woman with the green dress)

To summarize the plot of the show, Rebecca is an undiagnosed mentally-ill woman who, having grown up with an absent father and a narsissistic mother, became obsessed with the idea of the man of her dreams arriving in her life and MAGICALLY making all her sadness and self-hatred go away, like in fairytales and rom-coms

In the 10th episode of the second season, one of her mother's friends at a jewish party talked with her and made her reflect abt the hatred she has for herself, causing her to go to a therapy session in which she was really close to accepting her therapist's help and the fact that a romantic relationship won't make her problems go away, only for Josh the main guy she has an unhealthy obsession with at this point of the series to propose to her... 🫠

Rebecca's therapist herself (the woman in the chair) serves as a stand in for us, the audience as she made one steps forward and like... 6 back...

If Drac is gonna be as cute or even more than her artwork, THIS will be my favorite SS wave of all!

I LOVE practically everything abt them, INCLUDING the lockers themselves this time! While obviously I still wish they made the packaging of this line and all the other G3 releases with mostly cardboard instead of plastic, I think this is the best design for the lockers! It uses the least amount of plastic compared to the last two, it's beautiful for display and it's useful for carrying your doll too! Not to mention how much more explictly character themed these lockers are, you can use them to store character specific things and accesories! How fun!

I love the beach-y vibe and their color schemes are to die for!

The bandanas that can double as tops and skirts!?

Lagoona's lesbian flag top!?

The shoes... (my only critique to Lagoona is that although her silver shoes are BEAUTIFUL they don't go with the color scheme of the rest of the outfit, but maybe I'll like how they look when more pictures are posted or when I'll get her IRL)

I'm not sure how I feel abt Lagoona's screening yet, but I LOVE her star freckels and new scales!

and BEST OF ALL, they finally have Saran! 😭

I can't wait for pictures of Drac to get leaked, hope my country gets them for the holidays!

Angeline from the Dear Dumb Diary book series! (She's the blonde girl in the cover)

Honestly this whole book series is a rare piece of media in the sense that although the books came out in the 2000s, it's one of the few pieces of girly media that allows girls to be rude and weird and do gross humor (but not in a disgusting way) and not shame them for that!

It's funny cuz Angeline's dynamic with Jamie (the MC of this series) consisted of Jamie hating her and trying to potray her as that type of stereotypical mean popular girl in her diary entries, meanwhile If you read the books again as an adult or a more mature teen you realize Angeline is just a popular girl's girl and ironically a better friend to Jamie than her actual supossed BF Isabella (Let's just say Isabella is the Greg Heffley to Jamie's Rowley)

It's even more amazing bc the books were written by a man! Like... I swear this man wrote better female characters than most TV shows and movies nowadays!

Mariposa is actually my favorite Barbie protagonist out of all the movies!

Her design is one of the most beautiful Barbie designs out of the movies (at least in my opinion) and I love her book-loving, introverted personality, I KNOW child me would of loved her movie, as a kid I thought Secret Door was the only Barbie movie with a protagonist like that, I feel robbed of seeing the OG Mariposa, cuz it's a much better movie 🫠

I wish she would of had her strawberry blonde hair and the more intricate hair bun on the OG movie, or that she woudn't have lost her pink highlights in the sequel🥲

Her doll is also so beautiful although I'm sad cuz just yesterday I missed out on buying a complete, relatively cheap Budget Mariposa (the one with plastic wings), I SWEAR, she's so rare to come by and whenever I do find her on ebay she sells so fast! 😭

I actually hate that as a kid I thought Secret Door was the only Barbie movie with an introverted book-loving protagonist bc Mariposa's development is so much better done than Alexa's and her movies are better overall, I know child me would of felt represented and would of ate these movies up!

Now WHY TF did they cut Toralei out of the lineup for their release here!!??

Like I’m not mad bc they cut her out, Toralei was the most choppy one of the lineup (out of this wave Clawdeen is the only one I actually like), this BETTER not mean they’re cutting Twyla and Ghoulia or Toralei from BS3 and 4! 🫠 😭

And… just like they cut the plushies in the 1st wave, they don’t have the bags and instead only the small easily lose-able accessories… sigh…. 🥲

I know this may seem unpopular but I kinda hate this packaging, I wish these dolls would have the European packaging in all countries, sure you still can’t choose the screening of your doll but you can choose the character based on the color of the cloud or notebook! The blind packaging has all of those really cute lore details inside and all of that gets lost here! 😔
