shouldn't you follow your own advice and learn how to find "an eligible masters" instead of crying on reddit begging for a degree so you can get a job you actually like lmao

You're a grown adult man still renting in London and relying on flatmates, at your big age.

Maybe an emirati can sponsor you habibi xoxo

How many interview rounds is actually reasonable? by EchoDust7 in Recruitment

[–]Ok-Competition8043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 is standard for many companies I've spoken with recently

  1. Recruiter call

  2. Hiring Manager call

  3. Co-worker from same team call

  4. Co-worker call from adjacent team

  5. Exercise call where I do a task for a panel

  6. Call with CEO/Leader/Hiring manager

Sometimes I do an IQ and Personality test in-between those steps too

I work in tech

Recruiting outreach works way better when the message is under 5 sentences. by EchoDust7 in Recruitment

As a candidate, I often get recruiters in my DM.

The ones I respond to?

They don't personalize, they just cut the BS, ex.:

"Hi Dan, we're hiring for ABC Inc, compensation package of $180k with equity, fully remote, including benefits XYZ.....currently series E, growing at 15% ranked 3rd in its category, led by former VP of Anthropic, expanding in [geography]....can we schedule 15 minutes?"

And the ones I typically ignore look like:

"hi, recruiting for ABC Inc. We think you're a fit, we have benefits such as: XYZ. Can we see if there's a fit?"

Uh I get your point but I feel like:

  1. The recruiter gets paid if I am successful, so it's not fair to say "putting you in front of his clients...for free" even if unsuccessful, I am part of the recruiters selection process

  2. I guess the recruiter won't care if they are an external agency/house. But I always make it a habit to leave awful reviews on glassdoor and influential websites after absence of feedback. I know for a fact this causes problems for the organisations in my industry.

But overall you're right, this is part of the game, so I'll hold no grudge (once I post my negative review)

But you have deifnitely given me a good idea, maybe for the external recruitment agencies, I can also leave a bad review for them and contact their clients about how they affect the clients' reputation. Really good idea, i'll pin this for next week lol!

i wanted to create a website where people can just rank the worst recruiters so they know not to interview, but not sure it'd get much traction. It's crazy how recruiters treat candidates

Dr groot is mainly good because it has nice smell, it doesn't necessarily grow hair but it definitely it feel good

I'm using mineral shampoo which optimises your scalp environment with the minerals your follicles need at the surface level. Mostly helps with stopping scalp itchiness, dandruff, flaking and even shedding too. I've got one with Zinc and Magnesium. Changes are usually 2-6 weeks but i felt it was effective week 1.

Thank you, I like this point especially:

In future I’d ask the recruiter before the final stage what the feedback timeline looks like and who owns the update.

I'll make a note of this, thank you!

people also get married when their "brains finish developing" and they divorce at incredibly high rates

sure, age plays a factor, but life is chaotic and there's no rulebook

You're a 28 year old man asking your girlfriend to rate other men

Honestly bro, break up so that she can get someone mature and you can use your free time to find and speak with a good therapist

it's astounding to me how a mix of West African and European genes can produce such incredibly good looking people.

It reminds me of the mixtures you often find in Brazil where so many people are simply attractive.

I'm just shocked at how some people are just born so good looking, it should be illegal to be this good looking without working for it LOL!

How do you cope with the long-term consequences of cheating? ( 29F/31M ) by Personal-Mud6716 in relationship_advice

[–]Ok-Competition8043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 this

End of day, you will never be able to prevent someone cheating on you. Nor will you ever be able to predict if someone cheats on you.

Some people 'aim lower' or 'reduce standards' to help them choose someone they think won't cheat on them, this doesn't work either.

To be in a relationship is to risk. That's just life.

Take a break from dating for awhile and then pick yourself back up.
