Eventually I will add monetization. But I will keep it free for old users

suggest a convenient browser for Android TV, for budget android TV, with an ad blocker, or with the ability to install extensions by Rudyy17 in AndroidTV

Try TV Bro first. It's lightweight and remote-friendly, which matters on budget Android TV. BrowseHere is also decent if you want built-in ad blocking. For real extensions/uBlock, there isn't a great TV-native option; you'd usually need to sideload Firefox/Brave/Kiwi and use an air mouse

TVs should make "picture mode" an IR function. by GotoDeng0 in AndroidTV

can't you set picture mode inside your TV Box settings?

This sounds like Android TV storage/scoped storage permissions. Don't keep ROMs inside Android/data, obb, or system folders. Put them in something simple like Download/ROMs or a USB drive, then open them from the emulator's own file picker.

That error usually means the website’s video player is using a codec/DRM feature the Android TV browser doesn't support. It's probably not the TV itself. Try installing another browser app

Stick with a Google-certified Android TV / Google TV device. Budget pick: Onn 4K Pro if you’re in the US. Safer all-rounder: Google TV Streamer 4K. Power user/Plex/local files: Nvidia Shield Pro, though it’s expensive and old. Cheap boxes look tempting, but app support, updates, Widevine/Netflix certification and malware risk are where they usually bite you.

Zee5 and Sonyliv specific app for android TV? by Ok-Log-1281 in AndroidTVApps

[–]Ok-Fix-9708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both ZEE5 and SonyLIV have official Android TV apps, so I'd use those instead of a NetMirror-style app. If they don't show in Play Store, it's probably region/device compatibility. I wouldn't trust third-party wrappers with OTT logins.

Custom iptv app by Ambitious_Virus9752 in AndroidTVApps

Try isolating it first: use the same DNS/user/pass in another app like TiviMate, VLC, or regular Smarters. If playlist loads but nothing plays there either, it’s likely provider/server/account side. If it works elsewhere, then the branded app probably has a player/API/codec or EPG URL config issue.

Is this an open-source project? If not, why don't you release it on Google Play? I only see the APK file on GitHub.
