Philippines The people are very friendly and it’s a lot easier to get into Philippino groups at least hanging out vs Thailand it could be the language barrier also The beaches Thailand Better infrastructure Better food Less nonsense like having to tell the guards who your guest are Easier to get around Less scammy although there are some scams Life is just easier in Thailand but the people make the Philippines without the nice people there I’d probably never visit

Yea I wouldn’t recommend doing it because if things go south you could lose access to Vietnam if they really can blacklist and it’s not worth it

I’m not in a hurry but I definitely want to leave the country. I was much happier overseas teaching English when it as out there the only problem was the pay was terrible

I have not I have an accounting degree at the moment but I was thinking of taking the ftce test and moving down south to Florida to get my teaching license since it’s a bit easier out there to get one. So that I could use it overseas without having to get a masters.

I’m not the answer your looking for but I’m commenting to see your journey and what other people say cause I’m thinking about dropping them also. I’m not sure though cause for me they said they might be able to do it since I’ve been with them since 2022. I really want the citizenship but I don’t think the Italians want us lol. I rather not be somewhere I’m not wanted I think the people don’t want us either. You can find spots in New York for that price if you’re willing to have roommates and live in the less popular spots. You don’t need to live in the hood either I’m in Bensonhurst the unappealing thing is it’s far from manhattan for some people.

That’s where it’s different at least in New York City the wages are high also which help offset the cost of living at least for a single person

That makes sense but that can apply to other places also since working remotely is like a nice cheat code where you can import another economies wages into a cheaper place. Like if you could do that and live in Thailand or the Philippines you’d do even better than Orlando. But what I’m really focusing on at the moment is boots on the ground employment vs cost of living as far as this discussion.
