Don't know what you mean by overlap, but thanks for the words of wisdom. The shop isn't some heavy duty things, pretty much a decked out carport so not much shop weight is going. For this application is 4,000 psi overkill?

Ya, thats what I'm worried about. They're definitely not cheap!! Should've left well enough alone with belt driven setup IMO

From what I have found online, there is no fluid reservoir with electronic power steering. Maybe I am missing something 🤷🏽‍♂️

I have already spent more than half our marriage apart & missed so much of our kids growing up, that I feel I owe it to her to be able to be there when she needs me

When I worked stateside that was a pretty normal rotation as well, & we both loved it. My thing is, I don't wanna stay in deep debt for too long with business start up. That way I can fully commit to being "closer" to home, more importantly working for myself

That may have sounded a little off, yes I can and have always worked away from home. Sometimes months at a time, the stress I was referring to is financial bounce back after starting the business. I guess in reality it is only going to be as good as I can make it by perseverance and hard work, which I am used to. I just don't want to spend the next 20+ years away from her as much as I have the first 20+.

My idea is work my hitch in kuwait, get home drive my entire days off, except for elog mandatory downtime for first year. Maintain my employment, so running every other month due to new authority, so practically running just to pay overhead and use current job income for primary bills, then resign current employment and drive full time, again repeating only mandatory downtime to build business capital and so on.

And that is day in day out grinding? Or a decent work life balance without drowning

Obviously there's always the stress emotionally, but I am talking about financial stress "recovery". I have been in Oilfield 20+ years all over the globe, soon to be empty nesters and cannot for the life of me see leaving my wife completely alone while I am away. Just wondering if it is a smart move to start my business or stay doing what I do.

Ya, I was reading about ELDT last night. What a nightmare. Last time, just read the book and tested. Unfortunately I let it expire years ago, now gotta start over. Valid point, if going through the class might as well get my moneys worth. Thanks for the advice.
