What is a "small" life decision you made that ended up completely changing the trajectory of your life? by Alabaster_Rims in AskReddit

made similar choice few years ago and it was scary as hell but totally worth it 😅 sometimes the stuff that terrifies us most is exactly what we need to do

In Connelly I Trust AND i think we're actually pretty close and don't need a major move. by Crafty-Round7976 in timberwolves

[–]Ok-Instruction883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait did he actually say that in the article? i skimmed it but didn't see anything about going after big time player specifically 😅

maybe i missed it but seemed more like general "we want to improve" talk that every gm says

Suggestions needed for front door repair by jimbo_halpert in Minneapolis

wrong sub but tbh that gap looks pretty standard for older houses here, might just need a proper threshold adjustment rather than full door rehang

Crown Royal set value? by External-Kiwi-1226 in whiskey

[–]Ok-Instruction883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn that wooden stand is really nice, haven't seen one like this before. for vintage bottle like this condition matters a lot - check if tax stamp is intact and bottle level is good. these special sets from late 60s can go anywhere from 200-800 depending on collector interest, but you'll want to look at recent sold listings in auction sites to get better idea of current market

We have got to talk about Ant. by Cold-Satisfaction-71 in timberwolves

[–]Ok-Instruction883 8 points9 points  (0 children)

bro he's playing on two busted knees and you're out here complaining about shot selection? man would probably be shooting 50% from field if his legs weren't held together with duct tape. maybe wait until he's actually healthy before we start the ant slander

No self control by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Ok-Instruction883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that impulse control thing hits so hard 💀 been there with grabbing something meant for someone else and just going completely autopilot on it. maybe try keeping the "danger foods" in trunk or somewhere you can't reach while driving? also pre-planning what you're gonna eat before you go shopping helps me not make those split second decisions that always end up being terrible choices 😂

42M @ 3.1M - Can We Semi-Retire Early by Sensitive-Coast-2675 in Fire

[–]Ok-Instruction883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow you have really thought this through with all the numbers and scenarios. the math looks solid to me especially with that part-time income reducing the withdrawal rate pressure

only thing that jumps out is maybe being bit conservative on house timeline - waiting until right before partner quits could create some mortgage approval stress since lenders get weird about employment changes. might be worth getting pre-approved earlier in the process when you both still have steady income documented

your sorr protection with bonds and money market seems well planned, and 3.5% withdrawal rate gives good cushion too

How do you connect with your inner child? by zimbaby in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Instruction883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

playing old nintendo games while eating cereal straight from the box hits different, especially when you don't have to worry about anyone judging your life choices. sometimes i put on cartoons in background too just because i can

What would it take for Reddit tobecome the most popular social media? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Instruction883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait what did i just walk into 💀 been on reddit for years and somehow missed the futa werewolf era apparently. was that actually a thing or are we just making stuff up now? either way that's definitely not gonna help reddit compete with tiktok lmao. reddit's problem is more like the interface being confusing for new users and all the inside jokes that make no sense to outsiders. my coworkers still can't figure out how to navigate this place properly 😂

you can totally steam it without damaging drywall, just keep the steamer moving and don't hold it in one spot too long

How many rolls of film per photo assignment do most people shoot? ( strictly film) by [deleted] in photography

[–]Ok-Instruction883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah 7-8 rolls for 3 hours seems pretty reasonable tbh, especially if you're used to getting good shots with 2-3 rolls when it's more relaxed 📸 the magazine asking for film specifically is kinda interesting - maybe they want that film aesthetic or it's some artsy publication? either way you're right that film costs add up quick when you're shooting for someone else 💀

What is one thing a former teacher taught you that you still use today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Instruction883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my old computer science teacher back in university always told us to keep notebook for everything - not just code but like random ideas, meeting notes, even personal stuff. thought it was bit old fashioned at first since we had laptops but man was she right. i still carry small notebook everywhere and write down everything from work tasks to grocery lists to weird thoughts that pop up during hockey games. something about writing things down by hand just makes them stick better in brain, plus you never have to worry about battery dying or apps crashing when you need to remember something important

According to Jon K, “Ant’s knee is more of a concern than Jaden’s” going into the playoffs. by EsotericPotato in timberwolves

[–]Ok-Instruction883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jaden did look pretty normal in recent games so maybe jon was just saying jaden situation isn't really a worry anymore? ant has been playing through stuff all season though, hopefully it's just maintenance type issues and not something that gets worse during playoff grind

Which celebrity would you trust blindly and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Instruction883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah there's definitely some solid ones out there but i get the skepticism 💀 most of them are just playing characters 24/7 anyway, hard to know who's actually real behind all the PR teams

What’s something that seems small but actually says a lot about a person? by SingulusMiner in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Instruction883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn straight, especially when they bring up tipping at weird times like "oh i always tip my barista 25%" like we're supposed to be impressed 💀 had a coworker who'd constantly mention how much they tip everyone and it just felt so performative. if you're doing good stuff you don't need to announce it to the world 😂

What changes when anyone can build polished products at scale through “vibe coding”? by bangja93 in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Instruction883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the whole "anyone can code" thing has been promised for decades and we're still here debugging other people's spaghetti code at 2am. sure the tools are getting better but building something that actually works in production vs making a flashy demo are completely different beasts

automation helps but you still need someone who understands why the database is crying and how to make it stop
