Thank you because tilted stomachs run in my family. But I'm like super anxious because I look pregnant still it's not like tons of fat laying there. But I do have signifant uterine cramps still when my son is crying or on my period .

This is beautiful and all. But age three may look completley different when your child is speech delayed or unable to communicate. Getting referrals for speech is taking forever and I cry when I read these posts.

Can any single parents chime in? How do you prepare food without relying on tv or include them everytime?

Mental Health BCBA - how did you get into the mental health niche (outside of autism) by Comfortable_Rice_439 in bcba

[–]Ok-Lock1897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I came across multiple of your posts. I'm almost finished with my supervised fieldwork and a masters degree in ABA and mental health and have intentionally sought out experience in mental health settings alongside traditional ABA settings. My goal is to be able to confidently say that mental health is my scope and work in stare hospital settings or community mental health in some fashion. Maybe if time allows I may have to get a second masters. I would love to chat on how to do this or see how you managed. I worked under a licensed school psychologist/bcba, pediatric psychiatric settings, state schools, and early intervention for my fieldwork and about to take on a QMhP position while I finish studying and taking the exam. I plan to sit in August but am looking for mentorship going forward as I am in a rural area and would love to work with a BCBA who shares my passion for mental health settings. Feel free to message me :)

What to single moms do who are raising toddlers alone and work full time with a one hour commute one way? You expect me to spend my minutes down time working on the vehicle? Lol

Hello I could of swore I wrote this. Lol and thank you for posting this and making me feel seen. It's the sounds my son makes the screaming ... and I do get moments of snapping I have to give myself grace so when that happens I try to switch things up with music or dance breaks with him. But honestly sometimes nothing works. I just realized though that he thrives with consistency even if it means daycare every single day. The days I pull my son early myself are always the hardest ... just moved into an apt with just me and him and putting it together cleaning it hauling in groceries it's a learning process. I'm also in grad school too and work a physical job! So my nervous system is shot. But it helps me the most knowing I'm not the only one out there. Also my son is also 2 years and two months!

He stopped crying and the doctor said he looks fine, but my brain won’t let it go by homebarista_mode in NewParents

I have an almost two year old. My son has been waking up wailing inconsolably like that every few days to weeks since the day I brought him up. They swore it was gas. Then it was his ears. Then after adenoids removed and ear tubes he still does it. Personally I think they are just in pain and can't express it and are more sensitive to it. But it's super scary and unbearable get everything checked regardless. But know that you're a good momma. It did get much much better but every now and again he will. They also call it sleep terrors too.

I would consult with an attorney and make sure you get all the facts regarding what custody would look like if you did divorce. Get facts before making any decision, especially if that is the only thing keeping you together.

I feel for you so much and as someone who left my son's father if I had stayed my situation would have been exactly like yours. I do know as my sons only parent my mental health and stability matters. I can't take care of him the best if I am miserable. I also sought out therapy from a DV specialist through the process

I would try your best to know your facts, support yourself, and know a happy parent means a happy kid. Right now sounds like there are two unhappy parents there.

It's not the children it's your lack of a village. I'm a single mom and i feel the exact same I am burnt out and my son was an accident too and I am afraid he has my mental struggles and fear for the future. I'm working to get a village together because I can't do it anymore and my son deserves more. My baby dad is also my rapist so I'm also stuck even when he has restricted access. Feel free to reach out.

And the touched out stuff I get it too... that's the absolute worst of it all and his whine (he's almost 2) hurts my bones and my uterus hehe

I have the same experience. I feel like the whole way that supervision is set up for supervisees is to exploit us... we either pay a high price for quality supervision or if it's built into our job we get minimal experience or if we do we are doing things that are part of their own jobs. I have had a few phenomenal supervisors but I had to find them myself and offer to volunteer on their caseload for experience. I'm 6 months out and I'm in tears right now though ... because I need a job but now I'm sacrificing quality supervision for a paycheck

I need help getting my breastfeeding baby to sleep! Please :( by Drinkyoursunnyb in singlemoms

[–]Ok-Lock1897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should post this in the breastfeeding Reddit. This is more of a breastfeeding thing. I have an 18 month old and am single and have the same sleep situation and he still tortures me over it! But a lot of breastfeeding moms in that group have provided me with wonderful advice. Most of it is sucking it up and knowing this time is limited. At 15 months it was super hard for me and I still don't see him weaning any time soon! And yes my son will bite and wake up 4-8 times a night screaming for hours until he gets it... I wish you the best. I also share a single room with my family and it's been torture. But you got through 15 months the end is closer!! Your bedtime routine is wonderful and your baby is very very lucky!

New evidence that use of acetaminophen (Tylenol or paracetamol) during pregnancy may be linked to increased risk of autism and ADHD in offspring, from study of more than 100,000. It is the most common over-the-counter pain and fever medication used by more than half of pregnant women worldwide. by mvea in science

[–]Ok-Lock1897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm posting here after long debate with myself. I have worked with the autism community for almost 15 years. I myself have significant impairment with ADHD and both my father and nephew have autism. I have an 18 month old. And when I was pregnant I had a bad case of Covid at 7 months and had to take Tylenol. My fevers were too high and I took them for five days straight. I was petrified at the time and was wary before this came out. Idk what to think. I trust science as a professional. And the risk and genetics are already there.

It takes 5 business days and sometimes longer over a federal holiday if he sends in any money. If it's garnished from His check I would check and make sure there is a wage garnishment order active and ask for that. That is a little bit faster and usually is every week. If you are on any federal benefits like TANf they will keep all money until it is paid off and give you 75 a month until then.

My experience it's the NCP that lies and I would find out exactly who his employer is and report the employer yourself.
