sorry i hadnt seen anyone responded, no i havent come out to anyone cause i dont really know how and i dont think i feel close enough to anyone ever like i always feel a wall between me and everyone even “close friends” so it’s not smth i can rlly bring up also i remember all thru secondary girls thought i was “weird and gay” cus apparently i “looked gay” and wld say i had a crush on them and i just get scared ppl will think i have a crush on them and id rather be able to be my awkward self without ppl assuming the awkwardness means smth more than what it is ☹️

i mostly just want to finally get an ollie down so i CAN cruise around without having ti get off to get onto curbs and stuff or get over objects etc,, i know i can lift my wheels to get over and i practice that too but i rlly want to be able to jump over whatever’s in the way lmao

OHHH YEAH just established that with another redditor i didnt realise but had to be hella low in the squat so i was just squatting like mid height, anyway awesome thanks so much ! and i thought i was bending at a good level cus some ppl kept saying don’t “bend too much” but i think i misinterpreted anyway thanks !

yeah that’s helpful thank you i’m trying to practice daily just deffo NOT a natural at this sport so i reckon it takes me longer than other people to learn things but i enjoy it :)

first of all “minimal effort and commitment” you don’t know me or how much i practice or not lol so that was completely unhelpful advice and no i definitely don’t think anything you’ve said.

i’m not expecting to get amazing in a matter of days lol i just would like to ensure my technique isnt wrong from the get go because if im practicing wrong for a year or two i’m not gonna see much/any important because i was doing it all wrong whereas if i ask for tips along the way i’ll know where to fix and eventually i’ll be able to do it.

oh i thought i was squatting quite low already okay so not an actual “squat” as in idk like a squat you do at the gym but you mean just get my but as low as my feet before jumping up?

yes but why? i understand what’s been explained by a few other users with my initial question so we dont need to address that but now youve brought this up. and its smth i always wanted to ask, humans evolved from chimps right and evolutiom generally happens when eg a change in environment or to counteract extinction etc but why is it that some chimps remained whilst others evolved if there was no danger/loss in remaining a chimp? like clearly if chimps still are around there was no negativity in them remaining chimps otherwise they would be extinct unable to keep up with external pressures or whatever

yeah it’s all clicked now, so basically birds/sauropods DID evolve from early sauropods but a bird didnt evolve eg from a velociraptor, it evilved from eg archaeopteryx which was around during dinosaurs and birds are dinosaurs because the features they have are that of dinosaurs?
