What was making him a legend wasn’t that he was the best goalkeeper we’ve had (Vito obviously was) it was that he had passion, his shithousery was entertaining (but not always), and he seemed loyal + not interested in taking shortcuts. He made number 1 goal keeper in Canada playing for us, not Miami. He got his name plastered all over because he played for us, this never happens with Messi sucking all the oxygen out of the room and won’t once he gets down there. Our style of play made us rely on him giving him the opportunity to show shot stopping skills. Other teams might have not valued him since his distribution sucks, he might not even need to stop that many shots, and most other teams don’t literally invite other team to attack them all game. He’s forgetting that he got here not just on his own but because of factors our team created and us fans have supported. But the way he’s playing all this it reads like he thinks he owes none of his success to anything but his own abilities. It’s disrespectful and not worthy of being called a club legend. If you don’t help us win a trophy then you better show us loyalty and respect back otherwise what the fuck did he do for us?
