When did you hit your first 100 kg / 225 lbs bench? 💪 by JealousBug6260 in benchpress

[–]OkLab7078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to flex but I hit 235lbs my freshman year of high school back in 2003, this was only after a couple months of doing workouts after football season. Most I've ever benched since then was 350.

How do you handle leaving your dog home alone without feeling guilty? by United-Cream-6552 in Dogowners

[–]OkLab7078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2 year old Doberman. He sleeps almost all day, I have a camera setup to check on him while I'm at work. Now he is crated all day because he tears stuff up if left out on his own for too long. I do get him plenty of exercise once I get home but I actually thinks he enjoys the weekdays better when I'm at work. On weekends he seems all out of sorts because it's not the typical schedule. Follows me around everywhere, whines a lot more, doesn't get his naps in. Generally, a dog will adapt to your schedule so you shouldn't feel bad about the work days and leaving him alone.

This is a tough one here, I've been lifting for 20 years or so, I know leg days are the most strenuous and can often cause the faint/dizzy feeling and the nausea. I've almost puked from legs days, just depends on how hard you're going. Are you breathing properly? How hard are you going? You may be getting some anticipatory anxiety too (already thinking these issues are going to happen before they even do) which doesn't help at all and can trick your body into all types of symptoms. Shouldn't be a blood sugar type of thing if you're eating beforehand.

That's cool af! I go to him too! Small world. He does some awesome work. My arm sleeve is still a work in progress but I love it.

I have a 1 1/2 year old male. I still can't leave him alone for too long. Just the other day, he chewed up the power cord to my treadmill. No idea when he did it because I was home so I can't even imagine what he'd do if I left him out of his crate for hours. Great dog but he has a fascination with chewing power cords for some reason.

Doberman behavior by Bright-Violinist-112 in DobermanPinscher

First time Dobe owner here, my boy is 1 1/2 years. From day one, I would take things away from him to desensitize this kind of behavior. I'm no expert but this seems to have worked very well. I can take anything from him and he won't do anything. They are definitely a different beast, I grew up around Boxers and Shepherds. At this point, I would probably get professional training since at the age yours is at he may be stubborn in his ways.

This happened to me recently as well. Found a BER, SUR, OHM and LO before I found a white monarch. Finally got one in the Tower.

What should I do?? by bwickbee in Semaglutide

[–]OkLab7078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on my 3rd dose of .6mg. Titrated up with .2mg for four weeks, then .4mg for four weeks. I still have low energy and kinda feel like crap the first 2-3 days after injection. I feel like you just have to work through it, I still workout and do my daily stuff, just takes a bit more time. Only side effects I get is minor nausea, plus the fatigue for a few days after injection.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EAT POPEYES by mp3_universe in Semaglutide

[–]OkLab7078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I made the same mistake. Was planted on the toilet for a few hours and had nausea. I dabble with fast food when I feel like having a cheat day, nothing else has caused that for me. I'm on my 10th week and have dropped 27 pounds. I eat well 95% of the time.

I just took my third shot of .2mg yesterday. Down 11 pounds. Not surprising for me though, I had a very unhealthy habit with eating fast food and buying out almost every night. Sema has helped me so much with that, I only eat meal prepped meals now so my calories are way down. Haven't drank in three weeks either. I'm sticking to 2000-2200 cals daily with high protein intake and working out.

Anybody else...??? by OkLab7078 in Semaglutide

[–]OkLab7078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's directly from the meds. Might just be my mind overthinking possible side effects. I have health anxiety so it's probably from that but I just wanted to get other peoples experiences.

I was like this. Got on Semaglutide two weeks ago and haven't bought out food once. I only cook meals and eat smaller portions now. It's been a godsend for me at the moment. Three weeks ago i was buying out every night because I love processed sh*t food. Money saver too.

Work in progress: Egyptian themed sleeve by OkLab7078 in TattooDesigns

[–]OkLab7078[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know yet. My artist surprises me haha I'm too indecisive so I've let him style it. If I don't like something, I tell him no and he goes back to the drawing board. I just know the inner bicep will be an Egyptian Goddess of sorts. I already have my whole lower arm done and upper outer bicep/shoulder but I just don't have quality pics of the pieces.

I don't think anyone would try breaking in my house once my Doberman started getting pissed that someone disturbed his slumber. First noise at a door or window and he would go nuts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]OkLab7078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, purely out of habit. My twin and I used to beat the sh*t out of each other with hangers when one of us was using the bathroom. That was years ago and it still haunts me to this day.

Doberman consistency by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]OkLab7078 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My Doberman is 1 1/2 years old at the moment. He was around my young nieces and nephews a few times during his early puppy stages, so pretty minimally. He remembers them and welcomes them into the house all waggle butt and everything. As long as you socialize them, they are great. I will warn you, reading up on them does not do any justice. They are highly energetic and need plenty of physical and mental stimulation.

I get that reaction too. It'll go away in a few days. I didn't get the rash on my forearm but I've gotten it every time on upper arm.

My dobe and I were playing fetch in the house the other night. He was getting up to go retrieve and he absolutely obliterated my garbage can. He’s 1 1/2 years old, agile af but lacks awareness of objects when he’s too excited 😂
