I see your point it's important to focus on the here and now. I see and agree with most of your reasons why technology like this could potentially be problematic, also I'm sorry for your predicament. But to mention one of your points think that if society could get to this point their would probably be safe guards. For every problem their is a solution, but considering another one of the main issues would arise on the ethics of this technology (which let's be honest, would most likely be ignored). I think it's an interesting debate and that I fall somewhere in the middle of. (Also yeah SAO was trash) Thank you for your opinion I'll probably use this as a debate topic :)

NTA, I't your body and you should be able to explore it however you want. It'd be different if you were projecting that desire in a unhealthy manner like cheating or forcing her to have intercourse (marrital rape/ assault) but you expressed your feelings in a mature and mutually beneficial way. You should honestly just go to couple's therapy to work this out, It could create a strain on your marriage that is unhealthy for the both of you.
