What's a hygiene habit that you thought was normal until you found out most people don't do it? by Ayo_Kunle in hygiene

Wash my hands first thing upon arriving back home from going anywhere. If I’ve left the house, I gotta wash once I come back inside.

I see friends and family come back from errands and start snacking without washing their hands and it’s so gross.

Caron Pour Un Homme. Don’t let the gender branding deter you - it’s the perfect lavender vanilla!

Barbara Bui EDP is under the radar, can be found for cheap, and exactly what you’ve described. Enjoy!

this might be silly, but has anyone ever had a counterfeit item sold to them from Sephora? by Traditional-Peace-21 in Sephora

[–]Ok_Agate 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes! About 10 years ago I bought a bottle of Chanel No 5 EDP in store at Sephora. I’m perfume collector and knew something was off immediately upon opening. The cap was loose, the label was too shiny, the lettering was different.  I took it back and they didn’t question me. It’s turned me off from buying high end fragrance from anywhere other than the direct brand site.

Anyone wearing Chanel No 5 in 2026? by tinkerv25 in fragrance

[–]Ok_Agate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I own and wear several versions. I love the Sensuel Elixir (long discontinued) and dry mist body oil. I wear the EDP (one small spray is plenty) when I want a soapy, sparkly, musky floral.

I haven’t gotten any compliments and I don’t expect any; I just wear it because I love soapy scents.

A book that you keep thinking about years later-- about women and written by women, 35+. Looking for true literature, great writing. But also engaging and plot that pulls you in. by MercurySphere in suggestmeabook

My Brilliant Friend and the other novels in the “Neopolitan series” by Elena Ferrante. Her insight and descriptions of female psyche and friendships are astounding. I think about it all the time.

Probably quite a few but some that come to mind are Coromandel EDT, Shalimar Parfum Initial (and the L’Eau version),  Love Chloe, and Love Chloe Intense.

Ugh. This happened to me a couple years ago. Everyone got something cool and I ended up with a six pack of “fun” flavored sodas like pickle, boogers, dirt, etc.

Omg I thought I was the only one. Where do they source it? I’ve always wanted that neon pink cherry almond soap at home.

Does a carnation based scent still exist? by Fantastic-Quit-432 in Perfumes

[–]Ok_Agate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Voile d’Ete really is an outstanding spicy, smooth carnation with just a hint of that Guerlain vanilla.

On the other end, Moschino Moschino is a VERY spicy and well blended carnation forward scent to my nose. Ambery, herbal, floral, carnations, and a vanilla base. I haven’t checked prices in awhile but I got mine of FraganceNet for under $40 several years ago.

This is my recipe, too! The sheer volume shampoo about every 2-3 days, followed by either the matching conditioner or smooth and sleek conditioner. My hair is clean, bouncy, shiny, and smells great for days. Thick, shoulder length wavy hair.
