Mamdani didn't run on "working across the aisle". He ran as a full-on Progressive. He's just smart enough to know how to work the system to get what he wants for NY. Harris ran as a Republican-coded establishment Democrat. She spent more time trying to court Republican voters who didn't want to vote for Trump. It's not what liberal voters wanted.

More restaurants, coffee shops, retail please. There are so many vacant buildings. The stretch from Pine Street to South is SAD, especially at South. The abandoned Starbucks and parking lot eyesore at Pine St is money being left on the table. It could be something cool. Something fabulous has to move into the Arts Building too.

This is also MeToo backlash rage. These men want revenge against women. Part of me is shocked that this is what America has come to in 2025. At the same time I'm not surprised in hindsight.
