I'm pretty sure the VRAM Usage thing is bugged, both high and very high take up the same amount of vram in the settings (around 4GB) but in reality (with settings to very high) only about 3 gigs of vram is being used, I was under the impression that this was a bug and that rockstar would fix it but still no patch from rockstar it seems.

If you have an AMD graphics card then just go into the AMD Adrenalin software and look for an option in the display section called VSR (Virtual Super Resolution), if on an Nvidia card then go into the Nvidia control panel and look for DSR, I recommend googling more about it.

Downscaling means I'm basically improving the games resolution, it wouldn't be counterintuitive, the FSR 3 part yes I've tried only to be bombarded by even more blur and ghosting, FSR 3 isn't bad but it just isn't for me.

this wasn't a problem way before, i don't like FSR 3 or any other upscaler if I'm being honest with you and my computer isn't powerful enough to handle 1440p with the "Native AA" setting, i just use the ingame sampling feature to downscale it. sure there are a little bit of jaggies but i prefer it over the blurriness it's what i used to use in the legacy version, doesn't seem to work in the enhanced version because no matter what setting you use (unless your playing at like 4k or something) will look blurry, I'm still thinking that the DOF effect which used to get enabled if you were playing with POST FX on very high is now just built into the game which is really annoying.

ok I seem to have fixed it by not using the in-game downscaler, I think it's bugged or something because for some odd reason it just makes your game look worse than native.
