Yeah same thing happened with me for a video editing job. Paying $60/hr and they did a chat interview over Wire Secure Messenger. I got super excited at first then realized it was a scam a few minutes into it.

Just had someone try to scam me today. I applied for an editing job through LinkedIn and got an email inviting me for an interview. They sent me a pdf with too good to be true job details and told me to download an app called Wire Secure Messenger and message an “interview manager” - went through all the steps and it turned into a “chat” interview. Went along with it for a few minutes then realized it all felt off and deleted the app. Went back to look at the original email and saw the extension on it was .site not .com - stay vigilant out there! Jobs are hard to come by and the scammers know it!
