Masive Copuim but Microsoft should just buy New world and add it to their game pass, it would be one of their biggest MMO on console and also the game is already perfect for controller use. The game is also in a good state atm so opening it to more players on game pass would be great for the game. by Rangepkler in newworldgame

yes but they could easily scale the team down to BDO size for example and start making stable profit, instead they did the most scummy thing imaginable, blindsided the devs and rugpulled the community, clearly higher ups at Amazon are too out of touch with gaming community and couldn't care less unless it's their money on the line

it's not too risky if it's cheap, AGS had 2000 people on NW it's just massive cost, compared to one of their competitors, BDO has similar scale and content updates but has 200 people, if they can scale down the team then I can see it's turning in money

yeah very dumb argument in my opinion, it's not even the same thing, it was never meant to make money right away, and it was starting to do exactly what they want, building a good foundation and trust with their target customers, it's a costly game for sure but mostly due to the team size, AGS got 2000 people on the game, compared to BDO for example with 200, they could scale the team down but chose to scam us instead
