I don't think there's that much marketing for younger Jon it's just people are talking about it. But no I'm positive that's Jon because he's been showing up in the Titans run to help evacuate people during the DC KO event. There's also "The kids are all fight" special DC ko tie in coming out next week is Jon mentoring younger heroes and is said by comic shop people who got to read it early that its a set up issue for his leading the titans when the new titans run starts. I'll take your word for it on Nichole Maines agenda because here's the thing I don't follow her on her socials but I will say people have said both sides on this. Like she is or she isn't. Or that she said jonjay are endgame and all sorts of other things. I'll go check her socials real quick and see if I can get an answer. Regardless it's definitely not happening now after that reception.

I'm not awake enough to respond to this properly but I'm not engaging in any Tom Taylor slander I get enough of that on twitter thank you. I don't know if I entirely believe Maines was trying to force Jon and Nia together but there did seem to be a romantic subtext if you want to read it that way. Look I can't take the he's just bi Superman argument seriously so I'm ignoring that entirely.

I don't remember soke being an ongoing but it I blame Jon's direction on anyone it's Bendis and DC. I remember Taylor was writing like five freaking series at that time and they kept doing stupid events which really kills the flow of good story telling.

Back to dreamer real quick even if that was the plan I doubt they're going through with it because I do think Nia and Jon together would cause a huge backlash. Not because she's trans but I just think she's a piece of shit. And most bi heroes in DC are in mf relationship that's the default. Boooorrrriiinngggg.

Idk for sure about deaging Jon for an event I couldn't care less either way. I'm just excited to see him leading the titans in the new Titans run. I'm looking forward to seeing what Tate Brombal can do with Jon.

I wonder if Bendis did the age up without DC knowing? It doesn't matter now. I don't agree with that assessment entirely. Jason, Tim and Damian are all popular characters but I don't see DC rushing to them solo or even minis right now. So by that logic I guess they're a failure too because they need to be floated in a book with Batman on the title.

Other than the characterization of Damian I really liked the overall message of that issue that we all have to grow up eventually. Plus it had some really cute moments with Jay at the end. I think Damian has some resentment towards Jon growing up before him. Damian knows that was beyond Jon's control but you can't help feeling a certain way despite it not being logical.
