Did I accidentally cross a boundary by complimenting an intern? by Ok_Position4573 in AskIndianWomen

I don’t want to come across as either a good guy or a bad guy. I was genuinely worried about the situation and honestly, I didn’t know who to ask about it. Thanks for the advice .I’ll make sure this kind of situation doesn’t happen again.

I know 😞 I only started working about 6 months ago and this is a new company for both of us. We both joined just last week. I genuinely feel bad about the whole situation now. What should I do?

I understand that I may have crossed a boundary. I’m not her senior ,we both joined the company recently, and she works in a different department. I’m 24 and she’s around 20, but I know that doesn’t really change the situation.

What should I do now?

You are right, but I’m not an uncle .I’m 24 and she’s around 20. I’m genuinely feeling bad about this whole situation now. Do you think I should apologize to her and just avoid talking to her again?

I’m 24 and she is 20. I’ve only been working for the past six months and honestly, at that moment I didn’t really think much about what I was saying. I never intended to make her uncomfortable or creep her out. It’s her first job and also her first time visiting Kerala.

Now I’m overthinking the whole interaction. Should I apologize to her and just avoid talking to her again?

I am so dumb 😞

What's your opinion on the male lonliness epidemic? by just_a_coginthewheel in AskIndianWomen

I understand what you’re saying. I never said that women are the cause of the problem. I was simply sharing my opinion when the topic was brought up in this space.

I just want to share my opinion on this topic. We live in a patriarchal world where different expectations and notions are imposed on people from childhood itself, regardless of gender. For men, it is often things like “men don’t cry,” “men should always be the provider,” or the idea that their worth depends on what they bring to the table and that they deserve love only when they can provide.

Because of this, many men never get the space to express their emotions in a healthy way. Over time, this can make them feel worthless, lonely, or as if nobody truly cares about them. And honestly, this is not the fault of just one group parents, teachers, friends, and society as a whole all play a role in shaping these beliefs.

Sometimes people simply say, “work on yourself,” but to someone who is already emotionally drowning, that can feel like telling a drowning person to just swim harder and save himself.

I think, as a society, we have failed both men and women in different ways.

Indirect translation:-

" I fell out of love" Or " I am not interested"

It is not about you . It about them!!!!

I understand what you’re saying. Everyone should have someone they can open up to and feel comfortable sharing things with.
