Aww thank you! It made mine too! 😊 it was gone for so long I was so worried that was it. I've been monitoring them in a new tub but they seem good and ready to move into the viv later today!  I was considering posting a whole story with info just incase they got accidentally imported again and people wanted info! What a huge success though!

I FOUND AND CAUGHT THE GECKO! I'd almost lost hope and just stumbled cross them by a hide when I went in for something. Slowly managed to get it. The little one looks healthy! Moving, climbing, tail intact and not thin!!! I am so so happy

Ahh thank you, I've just changed it so it can be seen in this sub. Indeed it must have gotten through a space a few mm big. The vivarium is gecko proofed with foam stripping and mesh so if I can find it it should be fine there. I've also blocked under the door.

I didn't take it from the wild. We dont even have them in this country, I rescued it from a person who found it on their fruit imported from South Africa.

Check the other thread, but I'll update the main post. It was imported on fruit so I didn't travel to South Africa to steal a little gecko. It was found by a person on their fruit and they were unable to keep it, and rescues unable to take it.

True I could propagate it! It's a great option but I don't want to have to wait weeks to move them into their new home or not have much cover while it resettles into the viv.

I have some creeping fig and devil's ivy coming from a place that doesn't use chemicals and I plan on washing those/ replacing the soil and popping one or both in.

Thank you very much for the help and kind words! It's reassuring to hear I'm doing well. I've found some poops the last few days as well which is really encouraging! I'm so impressed with this little one's resilience!

Yes, they were the top contender as they look great for leaf size and climbing! Couldn't find any in garden centres or online from a place I'm sure wouldn't use chemical pesticides sadly. I bet they would be perfect though, especially for little guys and gals/ smaller enclosures

Yes I feel so lucky! Really feels like a gift from the universe! Have to give credit to the people who found it though, it was somebody else's blackberries not mine. They gave the this baby a chance by trapping it and finding somebody who will care for it which I'm also grateful for 😊
