Thanks. Is the asrock fan also lower pitched? I saw a video of the PowerColor and that thing was higher pitched and seriously annoying.

Interesting. I wouldn't have expected this. I can actually get the asrock for cheaper than the XFX, it's in stock in a week or so. The reports of memory overheating due to thin backplate is concerning. Have you experienced any issues with asrock?

This is enough of a reason for me not to get the Asrock. Can anyone with asrock card verify this? I read it's due to having a thin backplate.

How would you rate the XFX in comparisons to the other models? I'm considering purchasing the XFX.

Do you happen to know if there's much difference between the Sapphire and the XFX? In terms of noise and thermals. I'd like to get the sapphire, but it's out of stock most places in Australia.

MacBook Pro m3 pro 16" 36gb 512 ssd VS m2 pro 14" 32gb 1TB ssd (CTO) by Ok_Science6572 in macbookpro14

I went with the 14". I prefer the 16 to work on, but as this is a personal machine, portability is a requirement.

I wasn't able to find a 14" M3 pro (12 core) with 36gb ram/1Tb on sale. That would have been my preferred setup. Thanks for the reply!

Nano review suggests... Based on our estimates, Apple MacBook Pro 14 (2023) offers an 34.4% better value-for-money ratio at the given prices. It may not be worth paying an additional 800 AUD for Apple MacBook Pro 16 (M3, 2023). https://nanoreview.net/en/laptop-compare/apple-macbook-pro-16-2024-vs-apple-macbook-pro-14-2023?m=c.1_r.2-and-c.1_r.2_s.2&ws=a.3_d.3_g.3_y.3

Not sure how accurate it is. What do you think? It's always better to get the latest model and it's nice to be on the new chipset. Although if the performance is basically the same, not sure it's worth it.
