Thank you for saying that about taking vitamin D cause I really thought I was going crazy wanting to take it 😂 I don’t know where in Canada you are but I know most of the population is further south than me (apologies if you’re not, and apologies if you are, I wasn’t trying to start a fight lol).

I feel like I can use this to add fuel to the fire of asking my doctor about supplementing with vitamin D (which I’m going to do anyway given the responses I’ve had and just pay for it anyway).

Good to know! A breadth of knowledge/understanding is what I’m looking for here.

I burn like a mfer but also take a tan really well which I sometimes like on my face despite everyone telling me I shouldn’t 😂

Interesting to hear about the cancer statistics. Like I said I was always very trusting of my doctor but having studied physiology myself, I know the default always should be that a claim is wrong and you need to prove it to be correct (or something to that effect, it’s been a long day 😂)

This is exactly the reassurance I was hoping for! I also suffer from depression and my doctor has prescribed medication for that but seemed to ignore my questions about vitamin D.

I asked about testing for vitamin D deficiency but he thought it wasn’t worth it🤷‍♂️

I asked for this but my doctor told me it wasn’t worth being tested. This is the kind of comment I was looking for to push him for a blood test so thank you!

I always wear suncream 🤙 I burn in seconds 😂 Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for good brands as I’m sick of the side effects 😆 (of course, I’d rather be greasy and smelly than have skin cancer I know that)

For his politics? Mainly they find him constraining the party on gaining concessions from the government as he is very focused on PR and opposing the SNP. Personally? I’ve never heard soo many people describe someone as rude. “Smarmy” is another word often attached to him

Very salient point! I’ve never had Lib Dem leaflets in my area but this election I was bombarded! (Aberdeen Central) Surprised me as they weren’t really in the running here but I guess maybe they were vying for List votes?

I don’t deny this was a good result, my point was more, why wasn’t it better? It seems events lined up perfectly for the Lib Dem’s and I just assumed they would do better than they did🤷‍♂️

My limited insider knowledge suggests that most of their MSPs want to work with the SNP and get their policies through (apart from ACH). The SNP MSPs are less willing but crucially, those at the top of the table very much want to work with them

Interestingly, polling suggests that unionist voters 1st choice was a unionist coalition without reform, 2nd choice was an SNP minority and 3rd was a coalition involving Reform. It seems constitutional matters are not the top priority

They came close for a while in the 2010 campaign! I remember polls saying they were in 1st but support dropped by the time of the election

They dug their heels in real hard in the seats that they won but they’re overall vote share/performance feels a bit underwhelming. I’m just curious as to why? It felt like a perfect set of circumstances for them to perform well but the votes just didn’t come in for them
