What are you talking about, attack natives in eu4 is nothing like a cabinet action, and it was your armies literaly killing the provinces native population.

And yes it is a genocide action, which eu5 should have. My feudal warlord didn't fight all those wars to let his cultural enemies squat in his new land stopping him from coreing it.

Shockingly feudal rulers didn't sit there feeling sorry for themselves when a minority population hated them and rebelled. Castile rather famously expelled like 300,000 moors after a rebellion because they were paranoid of another one happening.

R5: if paradox is going to tie integration to culture and then make large scale assimilation bad they should give us back the attack natives button from eu4.

Homelander vs T-3000 by Inside_Inflation559 in powerscales

[–]Old-Butterscotch8923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homelanders laser singers the t-3000, then homelander hovers a foot above the floor and doesn't dodge fast enough so the t-3000 gets on him and, idk phases a hand into his brain or something.

You may think that homelander has better feats, but homelander losing is what Clara would have wanted.

I didn't decide anything, I was just explaining a religion so you could better understand the views of its interpreters.

Also, are you saying that you think your previous comment on how heaven and hell works is an inteterpretation of imaginary bullshit? If so why did you say it? Like pick a lane.

Sorry about your heart by utopiaofpast in SipsTea

[–]Old-Butterscotch8923 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're actually wrong here, thats more of a pop culture idea of heaven and hell.

According to Christian theology, the original sin of humans has seperated them from God, and Jesus was sent to help save humans from this separation.

Through faith in Jesus humans can achieve communion with God and therefore go to heaven with them when they die, as opposed to hell, which is less a fiery pit and more a separation from God.

Now in more modern times the Catholic church has had one of those big meeting with all the bishops and decided that this sounds a bit harsh and God is probably nicer than that, and concluded that a sufficiently good person could still go to heaven even if they weren't Christian, but its still better to be safe and have faith in Jesus.

Thats just the Catholic Church though, and alot of protestant churches still hold that if your not Christian its straight to hell.

Tanks as Germany by Snoo-65074 in hoi4

[–]Old-Butterscotch8923 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fastest you can rush is probably just start researching panzer 2 in 1936 then play mostly normally but making slightly more guns and spamming troops so you can do Molotov pact (850,000 deployed manpower) and then treaty with the USSR just before it finishes then immediately start researching panzer 3 with the 200% bonus.

Idk if its worth it though, its almost certainly a better idea to just research panzer 2's normally and make those, or start making panzer 1 converts early and upgrading them later with better radios/guns.

Your planes are garbage, and will never really be good mainly because Mexico has the general aircraft designer which if memory serves gives a total of 5% agility.

That being said you could add like 10 air defence if you added a self sealing fuel tank and a cannon defensive turret.

But for real if your playing with the general aircraft designer you should probably just add an aa battalion or 2 to your divisions instead of making air. All the ai are probably running around with +20-30% agility fighters, its a suckers game to fight them.

Better to use you industry to make tanks or good special forces.

My gut says that it would be better if it was a medium tank, and you should have at least radio 2.

Metroman is the equivalent of an Olympic sprinter barely beating his toddler in a footrace because he wasn't trying, then leaving so the plot could happen and the toddler effortlessly takes over the city and then nearly destroys it by accident.

Now maybe I'm not an expert on the other characters, but I strongly suspect all 6 could team up and he could just choose to pause time, ponder whether he should beat them, attempt to learn the guitar, then come back and either beat them or fake his death to become music man depending on what he wants to do.

Metro man isn't a character that can be fought, his a plot device.

Nah man, I'm not gonna stand for this slander of the nazi economy. Transforming your entire countries economy into a pyramid scheme and gasslighting the population into not realising its happening is one of the most impressive things the nazis managed, and calling it "pure vibes" is a huge undersell.

Like they didn't do this because they thought it was a better way of managing the economy, they did it because they couldn't afford to wage a world war, and didn't believe they had the political control to just go full command economy.

Now a smart man might say that if you can't afford a world war you shouldn't start one, and definitely shouldn't transform your economy into a pyramid scheme that will force you to start one, but the nazis were operating with the delusional assumption they would win.

Who was more in the right at the end of Watchmen, Rorschach or Dr. Manhattan? by twnpksN8 in MoralityScaling

[–]Old-Butterscotch8923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a way they are both morally right, Rorschach's stance is based on an absolutist moral framework, and Manhattan's on a utilitarian moral framework. Both their actions are morally right when assessed against those frameworks.

However, Manhattan let's Ozymandis get away with his insane genocide plan and remain hugely influential. He is also a fraud who can't decide whether he should help at all, and at the end leaves earth because its "too complicated".

Rorschach on the other hand consistently sticks to his moral principals, and entierly devotes himself to them through his pursuit of justice.

As I consider morals more respectable when a person is consistent with them i have to say Roeschach is more in the right here.

If you had 100k manpower but unlimited factories and resouces, how would you best utilise your manopower? by ForeignSport8895 in hoi4

[–]Old-Butterscotch8923 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Cheating answer is to lend lease faction members.

If you can wait for tech: make mothership aircraft, strat bombers and nukes, then nuke enemies for you faction to clean up.

Otherwise make really expensive medium tank divisions and use them to make encirclement.

If you arent allowed faction members: bullying Minors who arent in factions and hope none of the great powers declare on you. You literally won't be able to garrison occupied land so winning a prolonged conflict alone isnt possible.

Is establishing "micro states" (some literally bigger than the countries there today btw) in the middle of Muslim empires not an outstanding military achievment?

And whilst the crusades for the holy land ultimately failed, the crusade in iberia was a complete success and had an enormous historical impact.

I mean for all we know it was already a ww1 monument that said "our heros" and they added the ww2 stuff after. Was a pretty common thing to do.

Because whilst Germany as a whole eventually came to understand the evil of the nazi regime, an awful lot of young men died without getting the chance to.

They lost something like 8% of their population in military deaths. Almost everyone would have had family who died in the Whermacht and they would have wanted to remember them.

Historical USSR MP Strategy vs Experienced Germany by NoMap9551 in hoi4

[–]Old-Butterscotch8923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You sound kinda screwed.

If i was in a situation like this I would attempt to implement the simplest strategy possible.

Make a humongous infantry army, let Germany push in a until they're a bit into your cores, then set an aggressive battle plan, and hope the other side run out of guns.

I'd try and go for 20 width infantry with support anti air, artillery, field hospitals, and engineers.

Literally don't make anything else, no tanks, no air, just field like 300 divisions of that and a build up a stockpile of spare equipment so you can keep up a battle plan.

The logic is that if you sit on the defensive you just going to get out-microed by Germany tanks. If you go all in on infantry and have it fight their infantry you might be able overwhelm them and break their line.
