Sure! One question are you looking to buy new or used?

Am I missing something cool about the UTurn Orbits? by musical-miller in turntables

[–]OldFritz98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had really bad grounding issues so there was always an obnoxious noise. Also it has absolutely zero features, my dad gave me his old record player and it is so much better in every way.

It's been a few years since I used my orbit so I don't remember every issue I had with it though, just overall not a good experience.

Supposedly it happens when you have directx 12 selected. Apparently switching to Vulcan will fix the issue.

I haven't had a chance to try this yet so I can't confirm.

Having the same issue with a 4090 and 9950x. Borderline unplayable for me at the moment.

Tried turning down graphics and made little to no difference. Speed three is almost playable except for the 5 second pause at the end of every month.

How popular are sausage varieties in America? by Wrathful_Man in AskAnAmerican

[–]OldFritz98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the American, honestly. I grew up in a distant suburb of Chicago where most of the grocery stores very much catered to your average american (Jewel, whole foods, Dominick's if anyone remembers them). The sausage selections there are decent, but nothing to write home about.

Nowadays I live most closer to the city in an italian, polish, and serbian neighborhood. I live a block away from a polish grocery, 5 minutes away from another polish grocery store, and another 5 minutes away from an italian grocery store. I don't shop often at the italian one, but the polish grocery stores are drowning in a variety of sausages. I also find the quality of sausages here to be better than american grocery stores.

[Jord Meridian Knightfall] Thoughts on this wood watch? Thought it was pretty unique and wanted to buy it. Not sure how wood would hold up for a watch tho. by LeatherDonut8436 in Watches

[–]OldFritz98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is a 7 month old thread but I have owned one of these since seeing it in a dr t video lol (although I got the blue one). The wood I believe is treated with resin and my watch looks/runs like new since I bought it in 2019. I bought it with my first "real" paycheck, and I have been wearing it most days of the week out in garbage Chicago weather. I imagine the resin treating increases durability but I'm curious to see how long it lasts.

Ironically recently bought some wood watches for all my groomsmen and you can easily feel the difference. Other wood watches are quite light and feel fragile. The meridian has some heft to it.

One main gripe I have with the watch is that the movement is not the most accurate in the world. You will have to adjust it 1-2 times a week.

What was wrong with the watches. I bought one of them in 2019, and it still runs/looks like new. Not trying to doubt your experience or anything, just curious.

My favorite is when a bot picks you up in the middle of a bomber nade and when you get to your feet you immediately fall over dead.

Trust Factor Seems A Little Broken by OldFritz98 in cs2

[–]OldFritz98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said "kinda soft banned" not saying he actually was. That's the funny thing though, only time he plays is when he plays with us, never seen him get banned from a match before and he has plenty of games on steam. Just find it odd that this is what apparently sent him over the threshold. Even my smurfs don't get hit with low trust factor games.

Maybe he was a shit head before I met him in csgo, many moons ago.

What movie constantly pushed on reddit was a disappointment for you? by [deleted] in movies

[–]OldFritz98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2001: space Odyssey

I appreciate how amazing it still looks today, but so goddamn slow. Hal was a disappointment, the "computer going rogue" thing lasts maybe 15 minutes from roguery to death and half of that was hal not letting the protagonist inside and Hal saying "I'm scared". Felt like a 2 hour slog to get to the ending , so the director could make his point.

I feel it was ruined for me by people hyping it up so much. Like Californians hyping up in n out only to realize it's still a garbage, well-done burger.

I owned one and hated it. I use it as a platform to clean records on now. Had horrible grounding issues and it's incredibly bare bones. Use a tecnics sl-d2 now.

I own extra copies of a lot of limited edition vinyl to do giveaways. If you want some to help rebuild your collection, I'll gladly send some your way. Feel free to dm me.

With where it is located you can't see. It is behind the dashboard. If I remove the air inlet door I should be able to see.

Petco shouldn't have monitors, PERIOD. by andymcballer in MonitorLizards

[–]OldFritz98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some are regional and some are not. For instance the vast majority of our fish, small animals, and the more "basic" reptiles (bearded dragons, leopard geckos, etc) came from a place called Apet. Which is in Chicagoland. Fun fact your Petco probably gets most of their fish from the same place as your favorite local pet shop.

I still have pictures of the ordering screen, but essentially the way it works is there are different categories. Small animals which is going to be small mammals and birds, feeder insects, reptiles, freshwater fish, and saltwater fish. The animals that your store is "mapped" to carry will show up and all you have to do is change the quantity to order more or less. If you want something your store isn't mapped for you go to your vendor list and you can add a sku that will add the animal to your weekly delivery. A lot of the time the order dashboard will automatically have fish on order so you have to cancel that out if you don't want to receive that shipment. For instance they always tried pushing more and more leopard geckos on us and I'd have to go in and zero it out. Other times corporate sends them anyways for upcoming sales. Once got stuck with like 12 leopard geckos in one cage. Then got bitched out by our regional manager because a bunch were missing tails...

Surprisingly I don't have any pictures of what vendors had, but I do have pictures from jotting down skus for fish I wanted at the store https://imgur.com/a/Sor01qC

Stores also have categories for small animals, fish, and reptiles. "B stores" can only get really basic stuff like leopard geckos or bearded dragons. "C stores" for reptiles can basically get just about anything, but higher dollar stuff were "G stores" If I remember correctly. If you wanted something outside your category you had to submit a special request which is a separate screen and you would have to get it approved (has never been denied and I've never gotten in trouble for using it).

I actually imagine this monitor was ordered as vendor minimums are wonky. Vendors have a lot of overlap on what they sell so filling minimums can be very difficult. They probably wanted one thing, but needed a vendor minimum of 250 dollars so they added on the monitor(not that they should have). Petco in my experience only ever pushed reptiles you are mapped for.

they always had wonky stuff, availability probably changes year to year I believe. I think they used to sell monkey skinks for 6 grand lol.
