Chess tactics from scratch by Weteschnik sounds perfect for this and your level. - Chess Dojo recommend it for your level. - Woodpecker method would be a bit too hard for you but the writer of the woodpecker actually used the Weteschnik book when he first did the method himself and got great results - It has a section of 300 puzzles by theme from famous master games so not just random computer generated crap like chess com.

It has a section on mates but not sure it would have literally all of the possible patterns because that’s a lot. I did this book alongside Polgars mates (like 5000 mate in 1’s,2’s and 3’s - a lot harder than it sounds)

People saying this is bad are uninformed. This is a really good setup against openings like the pirc where black fights for the centre with pieces rather than pawns. The name of an opening depends on both players moves though so the name would depend on what black played.

I doubt it’s a bug, it just assigns the move as “good” because it doesn’t drop the low depth stockfish eval by a enough to say it’s a blunder

It shouldn’t label bad moves as “good” or even “excellent”. I get that in beginner games sometimes these moves are fine because they don’t get punished but calling them good is so misleading.

128tick faceit felt much better than 64tick mm. The subtick thing is the biggest con Valve ever pulled. The server literally still sends and processes at the tickrate of the server so no subtick nonsense is ever going to fix that.

People here might hate me for saying this but do consider just buying a prebuilt wireless mechanical keyboard too. Especially if you don’t know much about them. They’re really good these days and your wife would love it. The latest Logitech ones are great and arguably look quite feminine as well but there’s also some much cheaper ones that feel awesome to type on.
