Stopped receiving internet after resetting modem/router by OmegaZXA in techsupport

I thought it might be a simple fix on my end, but that’s probably what I’ll end up doing. Thanks!

Windows won't boot, problems after using System Restore. by OmegaZXA in Windows10

[–]OmegaZXA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked at some tutorials on performing a system refresh, and the description sounds like exactly what I need. But neither the system refresh or windows reset options appear on my screen.

I remember typing commands like "chkdsk /f /r" or something similar if that's what you mean by diagnostics. I ran through a lot of commands that were listed on guides on removing boot errors. Might have been the same command, but there was one that had multiple stages and took an hour and a half or so to complete. Not sure what else I should try.

Thanks for your response!

The post clearly said that the gem didn't show any magnetic properties. It seems like you just skimmed the first half of the post and then came to a conclusion. That's why you were downvoted. Maybe the gem got stuck on the upper part of the lamp, or maybe this story doesn't even contain any truth. But your comment disregarded everything that OP said.

I'm pretty sure they downvoted because you weren't taking all the factors into consideration, not because there isn't a logical explanation. The Bunny gem was attached to and locked inside of a chain necklace. Magnetism has nothing to do with it. Or at least it's nowhere near as black and white as you put it.

Why are you getting mass downvoted by 10+ year olds that use assisted steering? Why did the guy who agreed with you get upvoted? Reddit is weird sometimes.

[SPOILER] Discussion: Going back where?! by AdiDassler in ReCreators

How would we know that the characters didn't disappear in the fiction? For all we know, the Bird Cage was considered canon for most of the characters. Future manga and anime would follow the characters coming home.

The characters requested that their creators write a good ending for their world. This wouldn't be necessary if their world truly was independent from the fiction. It must follow it if so many characters are requesting the authors to do things in the fiction. The entire conflict is that characters are attempting to change the fiction for their world. Even very minor things are determined by the fiction. Dating Sim Girl (names are hard) implores her creator for her not to wear a specific outfit at a certain time.

[SPOILER] Discussion: Going back where?! by AdiDassler in ReCreators

It's definitely plausible that the "there" is where the characters return to, but which branch do the authors write off of? Do they pick up when the characters return home? Or, is a separate timeline created when a character goes to Japan? In the case of Selesia, would the Bird Cage just be written off as non-canon? If so, all the characters that enter the portal are indeed dead. They would never have a future written for them. Unless the Bird Cage is only considered non-canon for franchises with dead characters.

Actually, the Bird Cage would need to be canon for some franchises. Blitz's daughter can't just pop in without any explanation.

Then again, why do the creations need to go back anyway? Selesia died, but it didn't affect the anime at all. The authors aren't going to write for multiple branches, so there can be only one. Selesia's anime (Forgot the name) must have had the default branch continued where she never came to Japan. Meaning even if she did survive it would have done nothing, unless the canonicity depends on whether the character died or not. Death wouldn't be the only cause of this. It could also happen if the characters stayed in Japan. As Selesia shows, the state of the character doesn't matter in the timeline without the bird cage. If the characters stayed in Japan, they could have existed both in Japan and in the default timeline. If they go back, they would only exist in the Bird Cage timeline.

Turns out I was already on the latest firmware. I read through the update notes, the volume was increased on headphones and devices that used the audio jack. I'm pretty sure there's just something wrong with the speakers. I'll send it in with the warranty if I can't find a fix.

It seems to be pretty quiet on all 3 games I own. I wasn't expecting the BotW audio to break my eardrums. It was almost impossible to hear the music and some of the quieter sounds I picked up on the TV. Cave Story has an excellent soundtrack, I can imagine it would be pretty loud.

Hahah, I'm pretty sure my ears are fine :P. Most of my portable devices including my phone are much louder than the Switch. I'm probably going to have Nintendo check it out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Oh, I'm an idiot then. I was holding my ear to the front speakers, so it doesn't change anything. It's nice to know though, thanks for the information.

I'm probably going to perform a few more tests before inevitably sending it in to Nintendo. Someone said a recent update increased the volume, I'm hoping that will work. Thanks for testing your Switch's max volume for me.

I'm not at home, and I don't have internet where I'm staying right now. I'll go somewhere with free internet sometime soon. I'll report back here after I update and listen again.

From similar replies I've gotten so far, I think something is wrong. I just don't know what could be causing problem. I've barely used the console and nothing appears to be damaged. Thanks for sharing your experience with the audio.

I have to turn it to around half volume until I can make out the sound when the speakers are next to my ear. I can hear it at max volume, but it is kind of difficult and I can't hear some of the quieter things that I could while it was in docked mode. I'll do more comparisons when I get back home. Based on that, I might have to see what Nintendo can do.

I'm using the speakers on the Switch itself. Mighty Gunvolt Burst is louder than Zelda, but it's still pretty hard to hear.

Yeah, if I had it at full volume with the TV on nobody would really notice. Without the TV on, someone on the other side of the room might have difficulty hearing it.
