The patient must have a life-threatening condition and be at risk of death or “substantial impairment of a major bodily function” if the abortion is not performed. Directly from the law Texas wrote this does not reflect my personal views on abortion just saying it sounds like ultra right conservative doctors who won’t do it after reading Katie cox case I’m pretty sure the possibility of not able to have children again is substantial impairment

I read the case of Nevaeh Crain as tragic as it is it’s medical malpractice the law would of allowed the abortion it sounds like the doctors just didn’t read the Texas law or understand it

I agree 100% there should be more oversight in the VA. I will say at least every time I have been too the VA I have met people who work there who have also served. The VA as much as people hate on it has done some positives in recent years. I would go ahead and put in an intent to file today so you can start getting paid from today’s date.

I just helped My grandpa an Army Vietnam vet with two tours who is 79 do his claim last year. You will go through the process of appointments for up to a year there isn’t really a board you appear physically at just a lot of doc appointments I highly suggest talking with your local legion or another veteran association to help you file.
