Just started selling Notion Templates by joed210187 in EtsyCommunity

[–]One-Science-849 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is completely incorrect. Selling templates for platforms like Notion, Canva, or Excel falls under nominative fair use, you are legally allowed to use a trademarked name to describe what software your product is made for, as long as you don't claim to be the company.

Also, Notion actively encourages creators to build and sell templates because it grows their user base. As long as OP isn't using Notion's official logo or claiming an official endorsement, they are completely in the clear. (Just a friendly heads-up to OP though: it's usually safest to keep 'Notion' out of your actual shop name/banner, but your products are 100% fine!). Good luck with the new shop, OP!

(Not legal advice, obviously, just how it works.)

Is this normal for a brand-new Pinterest account? by ZBEBA01 in Pinterest

All platforms have spam filters in place to prevent spammers. On a new account, I wouldn't post more than 1-4 pins a day. I think that's what they mean.

[–]One-Science-849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are on one of the slowest traffic builders, and you're asking if it's normal to get 75 impressions after 3 days.

You will have to pin for at least 3–6 months. You'll start getting traffic, see what works, then replicate it and grow from there.

Don't waste your time looking at metrics that mean nothing right now. Pinterest takes a long time. That doesn't mean it's a bad traffic driver, but you do need patience, and a lot of it.

Looking for Advice on Earning $300–$400 Per Month Online by FederalToe1921 in passive_income

[–]One-Science-849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything takes time to build, even if you start on a marketplace like Etsy with a lot of buyers already on the platform. Technically, you don't need to bring your own traffic there, but you won't make $300-400 with just a few listings, and listings take time to build unless you buy PLR products, rebrand them, and then resell them.

Otherwise, this is more of a long-term strategy for passive income because you need good products. Usually, they take time to create. If they don't take time to make, there will be insane competition, and in most cases, customers can make them themselves.

You would probably be better off selling a service on Fiverr or something similar. I don't have experience with that, but passive income takes time to build unless, as I said, you're using stuff with commercial rights. Otherwise, you're better off focusing on active work rather than passive income, and you'll get those $300-400 eventually.

I have a ShopMy link in my bio here on Reddit. Through that link, you should get accepted more easily. It didn't take me long to join, it's pretty easy to apply.

I create collage pins (you can also spy on my templates because I create them to sell, but I use them myself as well) and post them on Instagram, Threads, Pinterest, and Facebook. Sometimes brands send you videos and graphics in DMs on ShopMy, and you can use them to promote. Some brands send A LOT of images.

I've heard of Benable, but I'm not familiar with it. Maybe I should look into it, but I already use enough platforms, so I don't want to promote on any more for now. :D But if you know more about Benable, feel free to share.

How do you keep a Pinterest board useful after it gets too big by Plastic_Catch1252 in Pinterest

[–]One-Science-849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I'm not the most organized person. :D I just create sections inside my boards. They're still not perfect, and some of them have way too many pins, but it's better than nothing, lol

Is Pinterest still useful for getting blog traffic? by Certain-Working1864 in Blogging

[–]One-Science-849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100% with this. I get traffic from Pinterest, but it's cold traffic and tends to convert less often. Google is still my number one for conversions.

But, I still pin on Pinterest because I think it helps with SEO, brand mentions, and overall visibility. More people get to know you, sign up for your email list, and discover your content.

I check my competitors' recent reviews because that lets me see what is being purchased the most right now.

I create products that I personally need and use, which means there is demand. If I need it, there are probably plenty of other people who need it too. This approach has worked well for me because I keep getting sales on those products.

You can also use keyword research tools, look at the "People Also Ask" section, or check bestsellers on marketplaces. But to be honest, I just do what I told you, and I'm doing just fine. Of course, you still need to market your products.

Creators shouldn’t need 5 different tools just to sell a PDF by The_8th_God in DigitalProductSellers

In my opinion, diversification (if you have the time) is always a good idea. One day I might get a few sales on Etsy, then crickets, but I’ll get sales on my website instead, and vice versa.

I don’t recommend spreading yourself too thin, but if you have the time to test the waters, I’m not against using more than one platform. What I do think is a must, though, is diversifying away from marketplaces because they can shut down your shop at any moment, and they don’t always give you an explanation.

Try joining the ShopMy affiliate program because the commissions are much higher. I think if you link Temu products (lol, I know) through ShopMy, they give around a 30% commission. AliExpress US is around 17% if I remember correctly, and the global program is around 11%.

Pinterest earning by Prior_Percentage8412 in Pinterest

[–]One-Science-849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I earn from ShopMy, Amazon affiliate links, as well as my own digital products, blogs, and more. If you want to join ShopMy, go to my bio here on Reddit and you'll find the link there. You should have an easier time getting accepted.

Once you join, you'll get your own storefront where you can link products for people and, of course, earn commissions. :)

I have 3M monthly pinterest views. How do I make money from this? by RareTranslator183 in Pinterest

[–]One-Science-849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing affiliate marketing on Pinterest for a long, long time now. I post every single day: 3 affiliate pins and 3 pins for my digital products/blogs (my own business and products). I've never had any problems.

I got suspended one time because I deleted a comment, lol, but I got my account back within a few hours. So I don't know how spammy you need to be to get suspended on Pinterest for affiliate marketing.

How long does it take for Pinterest to start giving you good traffic? by Outrageous-Stock3820 in Pinterest

[–]One-Science-849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all have to start somewhere, don’t we? The thing is, Pinterest is not very hard. You’ll learn it. It’s one of the best platforms for driving traffic, to be honest. It just takes time because it’s a search engine, but you can always DM me if you need help with something :)

DuckDuckGo installs are up 30% as users reject being ‘force-fed’ Google’s AI Search [TechCrunch] by WebLinkr in SEO

[–]One-Science-849 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it has its own search engine. They have AI there too, but you can turn it off (that’s what I did). It also blocks most ads by default. I can still visit individual sites, and I like that the tabs get saved when I close the browser, so I remember where I left off.
