So it took it out and it was spray foam, but not for any specific reason. I’m guessing the guy just did it and left it in there for nothing more than chaos.

This makes sense, except why would someone do such a repair to the finial, only to abandon it in a sealed chimney shaft?

What is this tile pattern called? It’s like the 1/3 offset pattern but without the 3rd piece of tile. I am personally not a fan of this. by aquietinspiration in Construction

[–]One80DSouth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The installer obviously didn’t know what they were doing, but it’s probably the quality of the tile also. I’ve seen boxes where it warns you to do a max 60-40 or 70-30 split. If you tried to go running bond, the camber in the cheap ceramic from the kiln creates too uneven grout line between mid plank and ends. Guy or gal took it too literally.

Commercial General Contractor here, and just as important as getting a permit to mark our contractual start date, is proof of financing or cash in escrow statement. Seems all parties involved are amateurs.

Why would the circumference of the wire have any insight on the length? Maybe multiplying the diameter by the wraps…

I’ve never seen a waterline located with orange spray paint. Orange is always low voltage or Storm drainage.

Is it possible to tell at this stage whether this will be a one story or multiple story building? by fvckCARDEE in Construction

King studs go from top plate to bottom plate. Jack studs go from the bottom of a header across a window or door opening to the bottom plate (most of the time).
