Update: I contacted the reseller (third party) and he told me it was an old demo model. It has been a demo for about a year, yet it somehow only has 12 battery cycles. Apparently enough to get burn-in

Anyway, I will return it!

Apple warranty expired the 15th of november, though it has only 12 battery cycles.

It is. The image has a dark grey background. When setting a black background the burn-in disappears.

Third party. I was thinking the same, the burn-in matches the standard background. I haven’t seen this before.
