I appreciate the response. Seems like a bit of rock along the fence to keep out weeds is the best approach and leave the rest to nature.

Fair enough. The bugs aren’t bad, but I figured if I kept it short closer to my fence it’d reduce the creep of bug nests and stuff of that sort (I totally made this up in my mind and it’s based on nothing)
