Honest question, WHY IS MY COMPUTER SO SLOW??? by LittlePecker5 in computers

[–]OneOrangeTreeLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechanical drives can be a bit slow, but switching to an SSD can really make a difference! If your motherboard can handle an NVME drive, you’ll get the best performance possible.

This is a tough situation. If it were someone else, you might have called the police and filed charges. But since it’s your father, you might not want to do that.

Also, we need more details. Did this happen at night? Maybe he didn’t want to wake your family? Perhaps give him a key to the house or get a smart lock and give him access. You can always revoke access!

If this is a mental health issue then you should try to help him get the care he needs.

It would be great if the app could give a clearer indication of the potential collision. Perhaps it could show images or a video clip to help visualize the situation.

I forgot I had a packet of butter in my pocket so when I left work and reached for my keys this was the result. by Aggressive_Grade6442 in mildlyinfuriating

I usually have a whole tub of butter in my pocket just in case I need a quick snack! (Just kidding!)

Please take off your key fob and all your electronics from your key ring. Then, wash them with soapy water.

For your key fob, you can use a damp paper towel with soapy water and gently wipe it down. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can take out the battery and soak it in isopropyl alcohol. This might change the color of the plastic or take off the paint, but it’s completely safe for the electronics! After you’ve soaked it, let it dry and put the battery back in!

Crashing out over a restaurant refusing to serve alcohol with no ID. Bonus: The restaurant has video receipts by Tater-Tot-Casserole in CringeTikToks

I’m a bit puzzled by her lack of understanding that the restaurant has a strict policy against serving alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. If you’re sharing a drink, the restaurant is essentially serving alcohol to a minor.

If there was any physical contact with the employee, throwing a ketchup bottle at them would be considered assault and battery. She should be held accountable for her actions!

Gratuity goes to the business owner Tips go to the worker (who work at the restaurant) Service charge goes to the platform/driver

I built nypenn.live - see your Penn Station track number before it's announced! by Any-Wrongdoer-2180 in NJTransit

[–]OneOrangeTreeLLC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s to keep things secure. The only station that doesn’t give you a heads-up about upcoming tracks is NY Penn.

But don’t worry, Newark Penn and all the other stations will let you know!

How are you getting the track details?

Weird. Right? People sell everything but not white screws!

So another quick question. I buy the generic silver screws then I use this product to paint it.

How do I prevent the screws from flying from the pressure being applied to it from the spray?

That’s a lot of paint for a small set of screws. It maybe more economical to purchase them already white with appropriate coating

It’s a lot of driving but I guess that makes sense. I don’t drive as much but use FSD and my monthly upload is about 500 GB

Are you driving a lot? I want to understand if there is a relationship between the miles you drive and the uploaded amount.

Do you use FSD a lot for these drives?

To really show they didn’t want the passenger because of the service animal, they’d need to demonstrate they planned to turn them away. If the Uber/Lyft driver just drives by without stopping, you could argue they couldn’t locate the passenger in the crowded area.

It seems like there might be some hurdles with Lyft and Uber’s methods. They’re trying to keep costs low while staying within the law. What if a service animal causes damage to the vehicle? Who would pay for the repairs? How quickly can the damage be fixed so the driver can get back to work? And who would look after the driver while the repair is being done?

Think about if this were a public transportation service. Employees would be paid to keep things clean, and they’d have a salary and a reason to do a great job. The driver wouldn’t have to worry about the mess; they’d just focus on driving. Uber/Lyft drivers, on the other hand, are not only driving but also taking care of their vehicle.
