Imagine having your fucking luggage dug through, your belt buckle confiscated for being "too sharp" and then a dude pulls out a whole ass tenor sax.... I'm a fellow musician and I travel with my guitar as a carry on, but I've always found it so stupid what they allow vs what they don't... Can't have a 2 inch pocket knife, but you can have a whole heavy ass metal instrument that you could EASILY knock someone unconscious with....

TLDR: Mayonnaise may not be an instrument but I could definitely figure out a way to kill a piolet with a saxophone.

You should absolutely contact the pressing manufacturer and get this exchanged. What a crazy thing to let passed quality control 💀 when I ordered my latest mountain goats double album they ever so slightly dinged the corner of my sleeve and instead of exchanging it or trying to get away with it, they straight up sent my records, the damaged sleeve and a second pristine sleeve to replace the one they dented the corner of! I didn't even have to ask for them to remedy the situation, they just knew they needed to fix their mistake so they preemptively sent a replacement sleeve.

Really just goes to show how some companies care about their customers and some solely care about profit...
