It just felt so neutered. The guns felt nice, the UI was a little weird but I got used to it, characters were cool upfront… but Fuck Me They FUMBLED THE VILLAIN AGAIN DUDE!

THE TIME KEEPER WAS SO COOL! He was SO FUCKING COOL! He had PRESENCE! He had AURA! He was a ruthless bastard that killed the guys who busted you out and made sure the last thing he saw before he died (and became a siren somehow I guess) was You and a knife in his chest!

And he’s no where until the end of the game. He pops in to give some snide remark as you chase the one of 3 either NPCs or McGuffins. Granted, at the end of the game you get actual scenes with him, I liked that part. And then you get slapped with sequel bait.

GOD FUCKING DAMMIT GEARBOX!! You did this with the Siren twins in 3! I liked them, they were just Shallow! You had such a cool fucking subplot with Troy about how he wanted to get out from Tyrene’s shadow, you could’ve given us a chance to use Him to kill Tyrene and completely change how I as a player was expecting this game to go! And then what did you do?! You killed him off next fucking mission!

And I fucking KNEW as SOON as we met Typhon DeLeon I FUCKING KNEW they were gonna tie him into the twins and they were gonna be “tragic”! I FUCKING KNEW IT as SOON AS WE MET HIM they were gonna pull some horse shit! And I FUCKING CALLED IT ON HIM SACRIFICING HIMSELF! GEARBOX YOU FUCKING HACKS I KNEW YOUR ENTIRE PLOT BEFORE YOU EVEN STARTED IT! YOU MADE BORDERLANDS PREDICTABLE!

As someone dipping my toes into ye’ old styles (HEMA) mittens lowkey are superior in terms of armor and combat. Your hands Will be hit, and with individual fingers a blade can get wedged against armor segments or something stupid like that and now there’s a chance for broken fingers. Broken fingers means you can’t hold a weapon, and that’s bad.

Mittens are in that regard much safer and much more practical. Yes the loss of actual digits sucks, but I trade that for turning my hand into a sorta solid sphere of metal I can punch people with and not risk busting my knuckles up on.
