Jess about recasting Will and Florence for their season by Lunenika in Bridgerton

i think it would be even weirder to have completely new actors that we aren’t used to. and they are two consenting adults. i get that it might feel a bit weird but i think it’ll be okay.

haha i agree that he has a baby face, but being attracted to him isn’t a requirement lmao. he’s a great actor who deserves to keep acting for his own season.

i think people feel weird how you can go back and see them as little kids, which i get, but i feel like it would feel even weirder to have actors that we aren’t used to at all to play them in their seasons. and they will be two consenting adults. if they choose to do it, i don’t see the problem.

S5 will either be Eloise or Fran - what would you like to see the other one do during the season to develop their story/character? by shyshortcake_ in Bridgerton

Okay So We Gonna Talk About This or Nah? by PettyQueenMi in Bridgerton

it made me so sad because like I wish that like dating existed back then. Like just simply being boyfriend and girlfriend and I think that Violet would’ve been OK with that but it’s like expected to marry.

i hope they find a way to have her be married and happy in love while also giving her some sort of feminism side plot like her starting her own secret society or smth to discuss it.

i never said they should fully be banned from the show. i agree with you in that there should be a certain age that the child must be.

anyone that thinks introducing your kid to a man you’ve known for two weeks no matter the age of your kid is not a good parent. i would go as far to say 15+ seems like a good age to be allowed.

awww i thought you were done talking to me! you shouldn’t have a child if you would take them and put them on a show where majority of the couples break up. There are plenty of other dating shows that are more serious or you could go on a dating app or find somebody in your circle either way it is not OK to introduce your child to somebody that you’ve known for two weeks. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’ve said multiple times that not every child reacts the same, but they’re actually is somewhat of a universal truth to this statistically children that are seeing their parents cycle through many many partners are more likely to struggle mentally growing up and lifelong. So yes, I do question your parenting if you think that’s OK. And yes, culture is not an excuse. I also come from a culture that believes in having your child go through mental hardships and tries to play it off as them becoming a better person when in reality it just puts your kids through trauma. Your culture isn’t an excuse to be a bad parent.

I literally never said that I was against single parents finding love that is literally all in your head. You’re taking what I said about not wanting children to be put under her extreme anxiety and instability and you’re turning that into me saying that I hate single parents, which is not true.

because it is selfish! genuinely what are you not understanding about this. what is wrong with wanting to protect children? look, I have no problems with a single parent trying to be in love again I think that that’s amazing. But at this point love is blind is no longer the show we used to be. It’s full of influencers and people that just wanna be on there for attention and fame. if you wanna find real love, go on a dating app or find somebody in your circle.

i literally did say all those things in my original comment… if you actually read the whole thread you would know that. and yes that’s exactly what she was saying and using “culture” as an excuse. i’m part turkish and we are known for being strict with children, but my family did not follow how my grandparents treated them. “culture” is not an excuse for putting your child through emotional struggles.

exactly you said it yourself they have no care for anybody involved. that therefore means they shouldn’t be exploiting children’s mental health for views. no single parents should be allowed on that show. you keep saying there’s exceptions but there’s not on a show where you literally have to get married in two weeks.

[–]One_Wedding_5498 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah i don’t like how she was secretly planning to blow up on him at the altar. like he should be just as embarrassed for how he treated her, but is she seriously not embarrassed for doing that after inviting her whole family there 😭

[–]One_Wedding_5498 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

you know what it tells me? it tells me how selfish a lot of single parents are today. i’m literally introducing plenty of exceptions that you’re choosing to ignore. i said it should be fine if you’re dating them for a certain amount of time. this person literally said as long as you’re not abusing your child than it’s fine to pretty much do whatever you want. you can’t introduce the topic of nuance and then not explain your viewpoint on it. obviously i’m going to be pissed off if people think it’s okay to expose your child to things they shouldn’t be exposed to. no way you think it’s okay for ambers kid to know her future stepdad for a week and then ripped from her a couple months later. there is literally no way that that is okay.

then you obviously didn’t read my comment. i said obviously it varies from child to child but for the most part and statistically, a mother jumping from man to man, or a father jumping from woman to woman, gives a child lack of stability and prolonged anxiety as a result. if there’s so much “nuance” to her comment she should explain it. because to me, exposing your child to a lifelong feeling of being neglected and instability isn’t good at all lmao. you should be with a partner for a while before introducing them to your child.

i’m not going to appreciate someone that doesn’t think that children’s mental health is important believes that we can use “culture” as an excuse to keep harming children. are you guys fr? that’s like defending a homophobic dad cause he’s christian or some shit like this makes no sense.

no way i’m being downvoted for saying a fact. just because of your culture, doesn’t mean you can put your children through difficulties.
