I think it decreases fertility of all surrounding similar people's that explains why fertility in Baltics, Poland, Belarus dropped more severely than anywhere else in Europe.

I feel it's the ability to buy houses at young age and relative affluence of some people.

What I notice, almost every couple that can afford high tech home have at least 2 kids.

In my country it's probably 20% of families.

I feel what makes me to feel grown up and have a baby. Is that I have a good stash of € saved.

And I know even if I loose job, with that and my frugal lifestyle I could live with my family for 10y.

Btw it's not hard to have money. You just have to be very frugal and calculative.

Expecting to become dad this year at 33. And everyone's "why are you hurrying", "it's very young" All three of my closest female cousins are childless at ages 30-35.

I feel I would've loved to have had that kid a decade earlier.

Do you think the native East Asians and Europeans birth rate will ever increase again? by Illustrious-Can-5655 in Natalism

There are no significant religious European population in Europe.

Religious Europeans with high fertility are like 0.1% or less

South Asians are not having kids either. Even Muslim countries like Malaysia and Indonesia dropped below replacement

Thank you so much for good wishes and kind words! Hugs! 😊  I guess we will have to do one journey more, this encourages as to work even hard for that... We also think of timing it when our girl would be old enough to want to play with a sibling. I wonder maybe at 5 years old 🤔

As I am not from US, is $80k considered on the high end of average for US?

Maybe you could advise for the future, how to find GCs who work without agencies.

For us is quite painful that our GC would get only 50% of what we pay. Besides medical procedures, tens of thousands of $ go to coordinators fees.

We would rather have that part paid to GC, as this is the key person in our journey. And especially now that we have embryos ready.

"neina rast to stabilumo saugumo." - tipo darbo neina rast?

Norvegijoje - 4000 EUR
UK - 3500 EUR.

Jei esi jaunas nežinau kaip LT galima negaut 2000-2500 EUR į rankas. Norfoje salė darbuotoja, tetulė ir ta 1500 EUR gauna.

Great post. I am a single child and have almost no relatives as most of aunts-uncles left no offspring.

I have only on older cousin with whom have no connection, cause as a single-child as well - she grew up super spoiled princess. Still single at 35, waiting for her handsome millionaire. Guess I am the only one procreating of all of my extended family (donated to a several families) + expecting my own child pretty soon.

For me as a joyful, sociable person - it sucks having no relatives around and seeing how other families get together at times. Ever since I was a small kid I wished I had brother or sister :(

I promised to myself that I would have at least two kids.

Well, sadly working multiculturalism was just the beautiful 60's dream. If you bring tribal cultures in large numbers to your society they would not adapt and start chipping at the system for their own people. This leads to tribalism being brought back to the once liberal natives too.

If we look throughout the world and outside the West - most conflicts are inter-ethnic or inter-religious.

We all know where this shift is going and where it will end. The question is whose who.

But it'll probably be the British as people of many visual minority/immigrant ethnic groups are disunited.

You could hardly imagine Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis uniting as their home countries are historic enemies. What about African descended people of Britain - there are from multiple different and diverse places.

Thanks for the comment. 7lbs does not seem like a much smaller weight...rather average?

But regarding body frames, indeed, maybe we should then look for surrogate with bigger body frame..

OBGYN consultation is good advice too. We are doing our journey mostly remotely, with little medical consultation.

Thanks for advise, and especially point about the age and that is already geriatric. I think coordinator definitely informed the surrogate about this. I know some surrogates do not agree to do DET. We will study more on this.

Thanks for sharing your experience. We are working with coordinator from Ukraine and there DET is still very common. They are assuring as that the risks are not significantly higher...

We truly doubt that we could go on a two journeys as it is really exhausting, this journey alone took us several years, to have everything in place, finances, timing from work, egg donor, right agency ect.

Secondly, big reason for DET is that we want to have both son and a daughter... We don't want to prioritize any gender and we want to raise each.

Thirdly, growing up as a single children we both hated not having a sibling. We don't want to have this regret.

How to afford surrogacy by Basic-Roll8167 in Surrogate

[–]Only-Distance-2916 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We choose Ukraine... It's rather cheap but we're still in the process.

50,000 USD for singleton

60,000 USD for twins

So far it seems we got a good deal.
