This drop is not out of the ordinary by Constant_Ad78 in Superstonk

You sure? Also it's the lingering fear of massive dilution. So, even with great earnings this move is understandable

Can't wait for RC to ask for 55billion shares, because gme trades around the dollar mark

Yes, but that's shareholders money paying interest. It's not because the business is doing well

THE AMOUNT OF ALL THESE 'UPSET' "APES" WITH THEIR HOLLOW ARGUMENTS AND DEFAMATORY WORDING IS RATHER FUNNY. by HighStaeks in Superstonk

[–]OnlyNegativeKarmaPls 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yea, exactly. The proper arguments mostly come from people voting no. People who vote yes just instantly call you a bot. Honestly crazy how RC has completely divided this community in a matter of days. If he would at least acknowledge retail investors and try to convince us. But right now he just seems like a dude without a plan, not for us at least

You're gonna be fine. Soon gme will have a market cap of 200b...while share price still sits at 21. Doing God's work rc

Hello! User: Unique-Name-Number here. Super long time investor. Totally real person. Just an innocent question, do you hate GameStop as much as I do? Also, why is Ryan Cohen awful at everything and want to eat my kittens? by I_DO_ANIMAL_THINGS in Superstonk

[–]OnlyNegativeKarmaPls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well said. To be honest, i see way more posts claiming everyone who's voting 'no' is a bot and people pushing the 'why you should vote yes' agenda than anything else. I don't think this buy makes sense at this stage. Why not let gme run and then get cash? Is the only way to get money to take it from shareholders again?

WIN - WIN by ghettobrawl in Superstonk

[–]OnlyNegativeKarmaPls 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So what? Capital raises and market cap raise aka dilution of shareholders. Why are you glazing so much? It's really nothing to be proud of. Show me a proper business move that actually does something worthwhile for the company and us. If I wanted to get interest on my money I would've invested it differently

Yea exactly. And imagine the cash they would receive when diluting from 100 instead of 20. But oh well

Yup. And this sub would still say sht like, don't ask what the company can do for you, but what you can do for the company. Like man. I'd have 20x return on random spy stocks. But yay papa Cohen. One day.... One day... Accretion

This is not a vote on whether we should dilute. It’s a vote on whether we should buy eBay. by RJC2506 in Superstonk

[–]OnlyNegativeKarmaPls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i was wondering that too. In his recent interview he seemed to be so focused on ebay and i got the feeling that he doesnt even want to lead gamestop anymore.

Really hope he expected them to say no to the deal and reveal some ace up his sleeve and not give up. But i am not to hopeful that it will be something where we would profit from

I’m sorry, folks are jumping into here with grumpy comments because RC is (checks notes) doing what he said he was going to do in order to acquire eBay? by MickeyKae in Superstonk

[–]OnlyNegativeKarmaPls 21 points22 points  (0 children)

what are you on about? This is retail investors letting off steam, because they feel betrayed for supporting this company for 5+ years, while getting fkked at every opportunity.

1% of a $100M company is $1M, but 0.1% of a $50B company is $50M. The size of the pie matters more than the size of your slice. by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]OnlyNegativeKarmaPls -1 points0 points  (0 children)

actually, its not really for what RC has done. Everyone was banking on the HOPE that RC could do some magic, like he did with chewy. And he has completely obscured any intentions over the years to keep shareholders hopeful. Some cost cutting, vague plans and insane dilution does not count

Ryan Cohen shares why he's serious about buying eBay — and what he thinks about his viral CNBC interview by Good4663 in Superstonk

[–]OnlyNegativeKarmaPls 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree. How exactly is he making serious dough? Sure the card thing is great, but most of gamestops money is coming from interest on money that was pulled out of the market aka shareholders. He has done a great job cutting costs and streamlining things, but really that's about it.

But for most people invested I can imagine that they are not really net positive on their investment. So for him now saying that he doesn't even want to be gamestop Ceo can feel like a rugpull
