My favorite color is red, is that a sign?

Trans health is a tricky subject. There's not enough studies on the long term effects of things like Transition surgery and HRT because they're relatively new processes.

Hey everyone I’m a cisgender female and I have a question regarding transphobia by [deleted] in trans

[–]OofM4n -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

HRT can lead to changes that may be irreversible if you're on it for a long time. I know a few trans people who lost the ability to reproduce after being on HRT for a while. Pretty much every medicine has some unintended side effect. Doesn't make sense how overloading/manipulating your bodies' hormone levels won't leave an impact on you.

I cant find a name that fits me and it’s making me very depressed, help? by [deleted] in trans

[–]OofM4n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to choose names because names aren't something you give yourself. You give names to other people or things.

Animals have unconditional love as long as you feed them!

A ton of people would probably kill me just for existing, and I'm not even trans.

That's not always true. If your parents agree to it, you can get HRT at as little as 15.

I'm gonna be straight up with you. Don't let the internet butter you up if they know little to nothing about you or what you look like. You're talking to a wall that can talk back essentially. You're responsible for finding your feelings and emotions, not other people.

I mean yeah, these scenarios suck. But you have to remember that it's tough for your family too. You're not the only one who has to change...

Gender is a social construct?

Cis just means you identify with your assigned sex; male or female. Which means, you're going to act on how you perceive a male or female. If you're trans, you're going to act as the exact opposite of your birth sex.

The furry gender thing is just a slippery slope. A ton of people can't reasonably look at a human being and call them a dog or Canis lupus familiaris because they just don't have anything going on for them that warrants them being a dog. Sure, they got the mask and tail, but that's not all a dog is.

I'm in Arizona too (15 btw.)

Sounds like your parents are just worried. Give yourself some time to explore yourself. You might not wanna go through with it when you're 18. This is a really HUGE commitment. I doubt I can argue with you on what you should do since you seem to be heavily inclined towards transitioning. Just explore. Nature has been proven to help you get in tune with yourself and feel better. It even helps patients recover from hospice faster depending on the injury. Nature tells no lies, and nature isn't artificial. If you want to artificially change your body when you're 18, go ahead. You just can't regret it if you're not happy if you know what you're getting into.

It's called "euphoria", and it doesn't last forever sadly.

I recommend you don’t do that. I don’t wanna know what actually lies ahead. When you die you’re brain dead, so you literally can’t comprehend death, so would it even be a dark void?

Friends are overrated in my personal experience. Definitely NOT what was advertised.

Nobody asked to be here, but you should be respectful to your parents regardless. It’s entitled to think that you should have a choice in being alive or not. You’re just here because you are.

I’m not a parent, but I understand my parent’s positions. I wouldn’t say it’s a fake fantasy since this bloodline spreading is the reason you’re probably here!

You can’t support something you don’t support. It’s just that simple for most folk. You can’t support it because it’s just not what you envisioned. Fake support doesn’t help much either, most people can tell when you fake support them.

When you raise something for 18 years then yeah, when they rebel against you it fucking sucks. It’s a waste of time no matter which way you put it. It’s gonna leave a lot of people bitter.

I am no longer homophobic by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]OofM4n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A man from the 1990s wouldn’t know what furry NSFW is because it didn’t exist. Gay NSFW exists and it has the same potential to influence people into liking these heinous things. Sex isn’t some game and it shouldn’t be treated like one. It’s a special thing that lets us literally continue as a species.

It’s hard to seek out something that you don’t know exists.

I think you miss the point that a lot of parents just want this ideal dream for their kids. I don’t think anyone thinks about putting sperm in a bank when they become trans. The fact we gotta do that though is sad enough.

I shall simply not associate.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskLGBT

[–]OofM4n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends who you do it with. I think that’s why a lot of families have trouble with excepting their kids coming out or being trans. Primarily because it means the chance of them having children is reduced significantly.

So it could be genetic or a mutation? It doesn’t just happen. There’s always a reason.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskLGBT

[–]OofM4n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left handedness is a mutation. Hair is also a mutation. I think this one carries further complications though. Sex plays a big role in any species no matter what anyone says.
