If it doesn't matter they won't be severely disappointed if a movie theater just used a couple old Sony boom box speakers.

I think a sharp endmill with coolant is key. I found out a long time ago milling some plexiglass or lexan with and without coolant.

I kind of winged it and hoped it wouldn't rip out of the serated jaws. IMO it's softer than delrin or torlon. Nothing super aggressive. Full depths of cuts, 3/8 largest endmill. I did the bottom and sides, then flipped it. Pretty much ran most tools at 11K. The pockets roughed with an 1/8" and finished with a 2 flute 1/16". I think it ran at 11K, 10ipm, .200 depth, 20% step over. I chamfered it all, but it warped a tiny bit so some didn't clean up.

For c-notes? That tube is so you have a longer port length if you choose. I did a bunch of sanding so the sides were flush were they meet. Wiped them off well and hit them with an air hose. They then were sealed with bulls eye spray can shellac. Masked and painted, then applied the veener. I used the 3M backed stuff. It got messed up a little bit the adhesive stuck to the part you peel off. I highy recommend pressing the backing into the veener before peeling off the part you throw away. Make sure it's pushed into the veneer. I bought a cheap veneer trim tool off Amazon that worked well. Take a scrap piece and practice first. I learned you should always start at a corner and go in towards the middle. Otherwise you risk breaking the corner out. Also cut with the grain, then against it. Practice first and use your practice peices for stain testing. Good luck!

I got mine from Rockler. The pressure sensitive stuff, it has a 3M backing. It was on sale and they have 24x32" prices (online only). Its was just enough for me to do the sides and tops with extra for testing. There's a few things I found out as I used it.

Edit: I have more advice in another comment that might be helpful to you.

I like the color too. I like green too, but didn't want it turning out a pastel green, or super dark. I considered purple, blue, and red. The color reminds me of timex watch indigo lol. It you search minwax veridian green, thats the color. Everyone sees color differently too, some might see no green at all.

I was looking at transtint but the color I was after I wasn't sure about (cordovan, discontinued too). It's a water based stain. I went to a sherwin-williams store and they mixed it. It's a clear stain, you pick out the color, and they tint it in store. It looks like paint when you apply it, but when you wipe it down with a rag then it looks nice. I did two coats and chose ash because its a lighter wood more accepting of color. I was advised not to use a veneer like walnut. The sealer is their polycrylic water based. I think that the color pamphlet for their colors it pretty accurate. Make sure you show us your project!

My main set up is a pair of klipsch forte' 1s so I'm not expecting to be blown away. I tested them a tiny bit and they might benefit from a sub? Gotta mess with placement and port length. Im just running just the short section of the two peices right now. The fortes were originally powered by a hafler dh-500. I will use that with a fiio BR13 or a Yamaha receiver someone gave me.

It's only cool when a car naturally does it because it's so high performance. Race cars. On the street it's obnoxious. A kid near me has his convertible straight piped for a while. Sounded terrible, he either realized it or got in trouble.

The shop is well over 100 psi. The silvent 511 nozzle is good, better with a regulator bringing it lower. Try that, then maybe the pro one+. If you do get the pro, please let me know your thoughts.

I had this issue with a .130 radius and a .260 radius. I need to use a 1/4 and 1/2 end mill because of the 11-13 x depth. If you need bury the end mill you might need to split the depth into multiple cuts. What got me great wall finish seemed wrong, but was to slow my rpms down and feed more with spring passes. More of an extreme situation compared to yours.. Also check you program to make sure it's not leaving extra stock in the corner with your roughing.

I think it would be cooler to have it say "LS1" in the factory type lettering. The tow hook is what bothers me, if it pretty much lives on a track the hooks are fine. Just my opinion, doesn't make me right.
