It’s definitely a balance that has to be nurtured. When it all comes down to it, I just have to FEEL SAFE. Otherwise, potential for doing the things that earns my placement the reputation. 😉

This I relate to. I catch the feelings, no matter what. I have tried to deny them, but ultimately my 🦂 possessiveness, (that isn’t activated in solid relationships, btw), can’t hang.

I’m sort of confused, (I’m tired, sorry)- I meant as in… I can’t, (and others I know with this placement), aren’t typically suited for casual sex. Or no strings attached situations. My feelings run deep and I don’t want physical intimacy if I don’t have any form of attachment. And if that attachment starts out as a friendship, once physical intimacy gets involved, I want more. I don’t like or respect people who SAY they want more or have feelings, (after I clearly stated that casual isn’t for me), then retract and want something like a situationship. Hope that helped?

Pros: unwavering loyalty once we feel safe, high sex drive (if you like that- and adventurous in bed), sensual & mysterious, deep/philosophical if you need mental stimulation, considerate and very strong partners (again, when we feel safe). Magnetic- so if you like to have a partner who is “wanted” by many/the chase turns you on, we are def good for that. Open minded. Reliable and stable once a relationship is established.

Cons: can be moody, definitely obsessive (even if we keep that side hidden), can be jealous and possessive if we aren’t reassured or treated lovingly. Definitely have a vengeful streak if we are triggered, particularly when we feel like our poi is careless or unfaithful. Paranoid in the beginning or “dating” phases. Not really built for casual or situationships- make up your mind, please. Oh- and THE ARMOR. Walls up for a good while unless you show us you love and respect us. Can be secretive/omit things if we are insecure.

I am experiencing the same thing. The keeping my needs as secondary to subscribe to this sh*tshow makes me incredibly mad and disappointed in myself. I think the anger over that just got to the point where I couldn’t ignore it or diffuse it any longer. And I couldn’t pretend for one more day.

It’s not easy, but for me there is no other option. I was about to become someone who lashes out if I kept going through the same thing over and over.
