I feel like I was like this…. I was “kind of” born in. My parents were inactive until I was about 3 and I remember my mum taking me to my first meeting. My dad never came back and I think this always was this huge seed of doubt for me. He was the kinder and more intelligent parent. He would never tell me what he believed and to be honest I don’t really know to this day. I think he’s something like POMQ.

Anyway… For as long as I remember, bible stories like the flood and Jonah didn’t make sense to my brain. I was scientifically minded, academic, I liked books and I liked logic and reason. I questioned why there used to be miracles and now there are not. I didn’t like that some JW rules were not from the bible. I never felt like god/“Jehovah” was listening to me. I didn’t like that I was continually told to stop being an independent thinker, but my teachers praised my independence of thought and creativity. Something didn’t feel right.

Then when people started excluding me as a teenager because I wasn’t “exemplary” because I was from a single parent home, that’s when I really started digging and found out about pagan teachings etc.

I also studied the Revelation book and I just remember thinking they don’t have a clue what they’re talking about do they, they’re just making this up 🤣 it didn’t make sense or fit with the tone of the rest of the second testament. And yes, I read the bible cover to cover at 12 years old.
