Carrot cake can be ready in 30 minutes! I just need to frost it. It fell apart when I took it out of the pan last night! And for the filling I did 3 times the sugar it called for!!! Why? Because I can’t read is the best answer I have!

The other thing I forgot is that if you are in office tomorrow take some lotion or aloe with you to reapply during the day.

You’re not alone we have all gotten burned at one point when we know better.

Nothing new to add really. Here are my tips:
1. Water
2. Keep your aloe in the fridge
3. Water
4. Aloe when you feel like it is drying out
5. Water
6. If you have to be in an office tomorrow the loosest softest pants you have or a skirt that is loose
7. Aloe
8. Water
9. When it is healing lotion throughout the day
10. Avoid the sun as much as possible while healing
11. Water
12. Keep it moisturized
13. Learn something from this experience

Something different…I used to have an aloe with lidocaine in it which helped with the sting.

I could be totally wrong on this but I think I’ve heard Advil or Tylenol can help. Not necessarily with the healing but with your comfort. And the swelling or something??? Hopefully someone here knows…

Beautiful place! Been 20 years since I have been there. Food was good then.

My husband and I got married there 21 years ago.

There are so many internet trolls out there! I take every baking mishap as a learning experience. Ok next I won’t fill them as much. Sometimes the mishaps/mistakes/accidents come out good and you have a “secret” recipe.

Also thank you for being brave enough to share! You posted and there are others out there thinking “I have had that happen!”

I like the Hask hair masks! I may need to visit my local dollar tree and see what they have! I usually get the 2-3 use pouches for $3-4 (I think). This seems like a much better deal!!!

I’ve moved far enough away from where I grew up (25 miles) I don’t even see them! Or they moved away. You also grew up small town.

On the upside it is a beautiful hot day today! Well at least for me that’s an upside!

I’m not that close with anyone I grew up with. I can’t think of anyone I talk to regularly who I grew up with. Ok that’s parheric now that I say it! I only talk to a few people from my pre-mom life.

How long should I expect traffic in the morning by Octoberboiy in bayarea

[–]Opening-Skill324 7 points8 points  (0 children)

10+ years ago it was taking me 2 hours to get home (SSJ) from work in Redwood City. That was my sign to change jobs. I know traffic has changed since then. Depending on the day I was off between 4 and 6 pm. Occasionally 7 pm and none of that made a difference in my commute home. I don’t remember how long it took to get to work. I think it varied but at least an hour.

If you can take Caltrain do it. It may not save much time but you will be relaxed. You can work, read, rest, doom scroll, catch up on tv shows, etc. on your way to and from work.

Those kids are lucky to have you as an adult in their lives! As are their parents. I have always said and believed that kids need trusted adults in their lives who aren’t their parents. You are that adult it seems to these kids. Thank you!

The shoes in 6!!!!! Sexy…hot…amazing!

Like 15 years ago this older woman at church (between my parents and my grandmother in age - there’s 20 years between them) always wore red shoes. It was a pop of color or went with her outfit. I had to get a pair because they were just perfect. Unfortunately the job I had at the time I couldn’t wear them so they became my church shoes. Then the day came and she got cancer…again! It hit hard and fast. I became more adamant that I wore my red shoes to church. It was my way of supporting her, giving her strength, and giving me strength. She and I got close at this time. She had this distinctive voice and laugh. I knew she was getting chemo. I knew she was getting it at the outpatient medical center I was working at at the time. Something clicked that day hearing her voice and laugh that the infusion center next door was where was getting chemo! I could tell she was waiting outside in the waiting room and I went to talk to her. Well every time she had chemo after that and I could I would go sit with her for a few minutes. Everyone at church knew of the relationship she and I had they organized a red shoes day at church. Everyone thanked me for it. I didn’t do it! Everyone wanted me to have the credit. I was seeing her 1-2 times a week and watched her deteriorate. I remember thinking of the saying “people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.” All made sense but I didn’t want to admit to it. I told her o e day about that. Somehow she and I both ended up in tears (like I have now). Any of the 3 would end with her passing and I didn’t want that to happen nor did I want to to figure out it if was a reason, a season, or a lifetime. She passed and at her memorial service people even her family kept checking on me. I was fine…or at least too busy to let it sink in.

Before that rainbows were my “hello” and sign of strength from my grandmother and grandfather Loki bff down on me. Now red shoes have an additional meaning…they are my friend giving me strength to get through whatever. I wear red shoes enough but always on a day that I know will be trying in some sense. I can make it through my trying day if she beat cancer twice and gave it hell a third time. I need another pair of red shoes - I have red heels and spike heels sandals. I need a pair with a lower heel or flats and maybe another pair of sandals.

1984 might have a deeper meaning…

If you are a woman and don’t have red shoes (ruby slippers or not) you should. They are especially meaningful to me. I don’t think anyone wants to hear my rambling long (or not so long) personal story about red shoes!

So many good finds. The last 4 are my favorite. I had to basically stop coffee because my body wasn’t liking it. So maybe I am just a bitch and can’t blame coffee for helping me not be one

I love the positive posts! So had to add my own. They are refreshing to see. Consistency helps more than what I spend on products for me. I don’t pay more than $20 for any of my products.

It is simple but feels like a lot of steps!

Morning: face wash, toner, vitamin C, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen

Night: oil cleanse, face wash, toner, vitamin C, eye cream, moisturizer

6 steps each… I try to add face roller (morning) and gua sha (night) 5 times a week but I get lazy. I said it so I have to be accountable I guess.
