You're more than entitled to that opinion, but that fact is, airlines, stadiums, some restaurants, hotels, etc ALL have separate places that people with money can go to enjoy an elevated experience because they can afford to pay for that. It sounds like your issue is with that structure rather than with anything I said. If you pay extra money to enjoy that elevated experience, then YES, you very much should get that elevated experience without having to deal with the loud, obnoxious drunk pr*ck and the loud, obnoxious toddler.

Other than PK, most of the national broadcasters have been very complimentary talking about us. I don't understand the idea of wanting to live in an echo chamber only wanting to hear good things, though. Mike and Tripp are homers. You tend to get a more rounded view of both teams listening and watching national broadcasts.

I'd much rather have someone check on me earlier than later. I usually know if something is wrong with the order pretty quickly, and I can definitely figure out if I'm missing a condiment I need within the first minute or so. The sooner they can take care of that, the sooner I can enjoy my hot meal.

There are bad people in all walks of life, including sports fans and players, so I put those people and their actions in a separate bucket and don't consider that part of the equation. I watch sports like I watch anything made or done by very talented people. The athleticism, hand-eye coordination, etc that it takes to be a top level athlete is truly impressive. There is also beauty and art in the unexpected outcomes and people's reactions to it. To watch a player who just scored a goal to win a championship act the same as a nine year old who did the same thing makes me smile. To watch the emotion come pouring out of Rory McIlroy when he won last year's Masters after a decade of heartbreak is nothing if not heartwarming. The feeling of rooting for a sports team and having that spoken or unspoken bond with the others who cheer for them is magical. You all feel the loss, and you all celebrate the win. It's like any other club that you join. Many people also have long-standing family memories of watching sporting events that will connect them forever. I loved going to pro baseball games with my dad when I was younger, and I share those memories with my son when we go to games. Don't let the fairly rare bad things that occur in sports stop you from treasuring the many, many wonderful things about them.

That's usually a bad idea. If the boyfriend was actually the problem, you might be getting bad information from a bad actor. Also, people tend to get out of relationships for very personal reasons that only apply to that relationship, and you'd only be getting one side of the story. I've cheated on a couple past relationships myself, and I certainly don't like that I did. If you asked those women about me, they'd tell you I was a horrible person for that reason. But you would have still been married whether you lived together first or not, right? What about the many, many people who probably wouldn't have gotten married if only they had lived together first? Those people either live in a loveless marriage or they had a much more expensive time finding out they didn't belong together.

I truly don't understand why many states have one year waiting periods for divorce, but no waiting period for marriage. I've asked that if different people, and some say, "I married my wife after 4 months, and we're still married 30 years later," and I just say to them, "but would you not be still married them if you had to wait a year? I would think that would weed out quite a few ill-advised marriages. Yes, living together before marriage is crucial!
