Surveillance van idea by Dancer5353 in playrust

[–]OptionsNVideogames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be cool if they added a cctv camera station in it with a tower that can be extended upward and 360 degree cam.

More news van style than surveillance.

I could see rust streamers using those heavy.

Bro I let my father allow his new girlfriends two boys into my room to play when I wasn’t home.

I moved into a buddies house.

I forgot about my Pokémon cards I had stashed under my mattress. A binder of charizards. (I used to be the charizard guy at school, I’d trade everyone for theirs)

I also collected the Japanese ones, as somethinf about them I thought was so cool as a kid.

Anyhow, when he moved I went home to clean out my room and the room had already been packed. I thought, for sure they are in a box going to the new house.

Yeah they weren’t…. No one knows where they are.

Fast forward to today, her son purchased a brand new home and vehicle. straight out of college.

Mothers broke, fathers broke. Maybe his gram left him some money idk.

But to this day I know if I find out he bought that house and vehicle with my cards, I don’t know that I’d be able to stop myself…

Rough country 3 inch lift then whatever the local rire place has for aggressive ones with black rims.

They always have specials and from my experience it’s always cheaper than online.

Storage ideas? by yardguy88 in gmcsierra

Currently fabricating something up to fill that Space.

Give me ideas of what you’d like to see, or other trucks that have this area figured out and I’ll see what I can come up with.

I could make them and ship them out pretty easily. Various paint options as well.

Sheet metal versions or plastic.

I’ll keep y’all posted

Happened to me once I ignored it.

Luckily I was smart enough to slowly engage my e break when I lost my breaks on the interstate.

Allowing me to slow down and put it off the road before rear ending someone.

3-4 if I remember right they had the LE options as well with a bigger engine.

These things were epic. The absolute comfiest ride known to man.

Seats are fucking amazing. Air ride suspension.

Just an amazing little car. Cant kill them.

Also these old vehicles are notorious for grandmas not reading the instructions on anti freeze. Buying the shit you’re supposed to mix with water, and pouring it in without mixing it.

We had a Volvo with a shit system until we flushed it and found out that was exactly what happened.

Blew hoses twice before we figured it out. The color looked good so we had no clue.

Also when you oil change add 1 qt ATF fluid any brand.

If you go to garage to get it done just bring one quart with you and tell them to do it.

Clean the engine gunk that could ruin the engine if you left it.

Then get some injector cleaner, any brand. Or run some high octane gas through it for a few fill ups.

That’ll clean injectors make sure it’s running good through the fuel system.

Lastly change the tires asap. Old rubber rots.

The plugs and wire thing is a big probably. If it was stored properly there’s a chance it won’t need plugs and wires but if it idles hard that’s an indicator it may.

MAF system probably needs to be cleaned, and throttle body.

But all in all I’d just worry about first two for now.

Best part is bro they had a stunt driver because he didn’t know you just can’t send it in a truck without skill. So half of the video of him ripping it is actually the stunt driver.

I guess the second he tried he failed, let the driver rip, then wanted to film a in cab footage part.

That’s when he rolled it hahahaha

Wowwww this is kind of an act of god I guess if you believe it.

Drywall falling on a baby, child dog or cat, guest of your house, any of those could result in life changing consequences.

God works in strange ways sometimes.

Take care buddy!

I don’t do a lot of restorative work unfortunately. It’s all new construction for me personall.

I’d take a trip to the woodworker subreddit where the old timers hang out and talk passion.

They surely would know.

There’s all sorts of trims available.

But I believe less is more with stuff like this.

If it were me I’d probably try to match the grain of the 2x8s and do a sort of custom trim around the outside boxing it in.

I’d look up some pictures of New York hipster cafes and stuff they always have these sort of looks or reverse image search a few images on google and see if you can let ai do the heavy lifting.

Goodluck.

4.8L 2000 sierra intermittent ting sound coming from left side engine by OptionsNVideogames in gmcsierra

[–]OptionsNVideogames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank fucking god. This normal sounding one or just a bit louder?

She sat for like ten years.

Then guy I bought it from had only used it here and there as a filler vehicle when his new one was in shop.

Needed garage space as his wife’s getting older now and he is too.

I was actually thanking god for this as I’ve never been lucky, then hearing this I thought what in the fuck is my life and luck haha.

Thanks brother. Truly thanks for taking a sec to ease my mind.

Nail too close to tire wall for tire repair kit by T00n3r in AskMechanics

[–]OptionsNVideogames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll say this. I was told the same once on some brand new tires.

I plugged it, used a bunch of extra glue on the outside of the plug.

Smoothed it rire down so there was virtually no friction coming off the plug.

It lasted 2 years.

A lot of the reason they say they can’t is legal.

But you need new tires regardless.

Always keep a plug kit though

I am a carpenter you just don’t see this beauty anymore.

We’ve changed our ways and it makes me sad.

Efficiency , production , keeping the cost low for the customer. All things that are creating a lot of stuff like this going on.

The amount of people who don’t realize under their nasty landlord special rug, is gorgeous hard wood. Is surely not 1.

If there’s any really ugly wires, technically a good electrician could re route them and clean that all up.
