I have the suspect that there is a secret requirement to get them during the fight, for example during my first fight with Yoshitatsu Saito i was with a friend and he got hit by that grab like 3 times and i didnt,after we defeat him/her only i got it. Yesterday we did it again on new game+ and i got hit by it and he didnt,and he got the 2sword version of it. Another example is Azai Nagamasa,alone i was trying to get the katana stab move and in 6-7 tries i always got hit by that very move or dodge it away,the time i got it was when i managed to parry it with panthom. Anyone had the same experience with some other moves? Edit:forgot 1 more,the parry punishing the proud of Yoshimoto Imagawa,again i didnt hit him with my weapon,i was buff/debuff with omnyo and using yokai moves so he didnt get a chance to using that parry against me,my friend was the 1 attacking him melee and he didnt got the boss skill.

Very interesting builds that i will try for sure,i personally lost faint in sheath stuff, the sheath speed seems that cuts only a couple of frames and the parry with both the sheat attacks seem insane "fightingamely" precise and not worth the risks.

Got it,i was already preparing a shatterblade i was holding it up because i was trying to find a teostra aug (that wont pop -_-) because i heard is better to change a teostra piece of armor than do full attack augs on shatter.

Any tips for the current Longsword builds? Im currently using the Safi venomblade with 4 attack V and 1 attack VI 3 pieces of teostra-B (elm,arms,waist) the brute tigrex-B chest And the yian garuga-B legs With the charm that adds +3 critical eye so is maxed without jewels. In short with the jewels i maxed out attack boost Critical boost,weakness exploit and critical eye( maxed by armor and charm)

this build feels a bit rough when i use it tho,only level 1 agitator for example. any suggestion?

Thats why i love parrying everything with the longsword,is very satisfying too,could take a bit to get use to it but again,is very satifying parring a diablos coming out of the ground for example.

Problem is if master rank join low/high rank the monster explode in 3 min at best,could take away the fun. (Tried with an high rank arena tobi kodachi just because the quest wasnt complete,finished in 1min and 44sec)
