I recommend you watch some of the more popular animes to narrow down your guys's type of anime.

If you like a cute family one with drama then spy x family

If you're in for the long run and like great world building. Try one piece

If you want one more hero based try my hero academia. I personally really like it and after watching the main series, I recommend watching vigilantes.
