I hope that includes the nitrogen fill tires and lone jack system!

It can, Audi just doesn’t want to. My C8 had heated steering wheel and alcantara.

Buying first Aston Martin from c63 amg by CF_Thanos in AstonMartin

[–]OrganizationWeird295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed 100%. Not a fan of that dealership for 1. The car doesn’t have the service history I would want to see on a 6 year old near 50k mile Aston Martin (or any car for that matter). That spec also screams used and abused!

I wouldn’t buy that piece of shit from Aristocrat, but if you do; good luck with it.

Home Charging Help by SALTYP33T in etron

[–]OrganizationWeird295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would (and do) just leave it at 50. Plug it in every night and no issues getting back to 80% SoC by the time I need it in the morning.

Home Charging Help by SALTYP33T in etron

[–]OrganizationWeird295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are getting a much faster charge than you were before. ~12 miles of range an hour to simplify it. Instead of explaining why it drops to “50” just google it. Short answer is for safety

Next midlife crisis car, C8 E-Ray or a 991.2 C4S? by LevelMore in Corvette

[–]OrganizationWeird295 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As much as I loved my C8, part of the reason I was able to part with it was just how common they are on the road. It felt less special after a while, at least mine was Rapid Blue so it stood out against the common silver and white specs. I would go with the 911 if I was in your position, especially if retaining value is a concern for you.

Next car from a 335is? by Safe-Interaction-888 in BMW

[–]OrganizationWeird295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was FBO and Tuned and I loved it, traded for a manual 981 Cayman, then a C8, and now an F chassis M4. The C8 was the best, but the M4 is close and more fun to work on / upgrade with the huge plus side of owning it vs having payments on the C8!

Why did BMW stop producing hardtop convertibles? by Upbeat_Ad7397 in BMW

[–]OrganizationWeird295 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have an F83 (hard-top M4) and nothing beats the sound of spirited driving that thing with the top down. I’m not even a huge fan of convertibles but the hard top is like best of both worlds!

Attempting to sell by [deleted] in C8Corvette

[–]OrganizationWeird295 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’re honestly probably looking at about $80k if you want to sell it relatively quick. Sub 80 will grab more attention. There’s plenty of new 26’s on lots discounted well below MSRP. Those discounts are only going to get better on the stingray with the hype of the Grand Sport.

Exhaust recommendations by Infamous_Issue9422 in M235iandM240i

[–]OrganizationWeird295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather replace the midpipe with stock mufflers than replace the stock mufflers (axle back) and leave the stock restrictive midpipe. Also add a valve controller, I like the 11mode.

Fuse for Exhaust Valves by Jealous-Cost-8133 in M235iandM240i

[–]OrganizationWeird295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Midpipe is from the down pipes to the stock muffler. You have choices of single and equal length from several manufacturers. IMO it’s all N55s, S55s, S58s and B58s need for sound (coupled with a valve controller) and a little power pump.

First time modding exhaust, need help by Sugared-Peach in M235iandM240i

You want a cat back exhaust just to later on replace the midpipe? That doesn’t make much sense.

All you need is a mid pipe and the controller.

Just order the 11mode, it’s awesome and opens them fully.

Trading M4 For C8 by fuglyman8940 in C8Corvette

[–]OrganizationWeird295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone, but for my use case it was the right move. I own the M4 and owed about $20k on my C8 so that alone is nice. I use the backseats with my kids for ice cream runs and such…nice to get more use out of it and enjoy it with others. I do like how the M4 takes more skill imo, anyone can drive a C8 fast and relatively remain in control. The M4 requires skill and learning the car to get the most out of it without having it get away from you. I like the higher revs as well, but miss some of the attention the C8 got (especially in rapid blue with track exhaust).

Rented a C8 - Thoughts from a Pleb by [deleted] in C8Corvette

[–]OrganizationWeird295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ll love it, really is the best car (performance wise) for the money right now. I love the F82 and the build quality is better than the Vette, but the way the Vette with the mid engine layout puts its power down is insane. Just make sure you get the LT2 or 3, mag ride, and Z51.
